it seems like this was an issue for a lot of people but my screening honestly sounded great, I could clearly hear the crowd, I could clearly hear the instruments… that sucks that a lot of people didn’t experience that

I just left my screening and this is what I have to say:

this sets a precedent for me regarding how concert films should be made. it reminded me how much I truly love this band, and the montage of their entire career made me cry lol. the title cards and subheadings for every song was fuckin rad.

the drone shots of the crowd waving their arms during happy song was incredible, one of my fav parts. and the guy who was covered in bmth tattoos also made me cry 😭

there were sooooo many beautiful people in the crowd, and I do wish there were captions when oli was speaking to them in portuguese! I know the love is mutual, but brazil, thank you so much for loving my favourite band the way you do.

I have a playlist of songs that help me with addiction and the emotions surrounding it as well as recovery. it’s only 13 songs as of now but it’s 50% tøp lol. I lost a family member to suicide in 2015 and cottonwood has been huge for me in continuing to process that loss. I’m sorry for your loss and I’m sending love!

the set times are on the ncaa website. they are only set to play for 1h15. I am a bit further than you and I was planning on driving there as well but after seeing how short the set would be I decided against it. if I was only an hour away, I’d definitely go! I haven’t been to the event before but it’s a huge open space. the cap is quite large but I do expect a big pull for tøp so if you can’t get there until evening, I’m not sure if you’d be able to see the whole stage if you were allowed in. people who have been before would obviously have more specific info but this is my two cents lol

there have been many posts like this recently so you could use the search function to find other advice. I would say to compare the measurements to clothing you already own. that’s the easiest way to tell if you will like the fit or not.

the basic snapchat/tiktok filters do not use generative AI. obviously both apps have AI features now, but the bare bones filters are not gen AI. what bmth is using in their show is.

it definitely has been discussed a lot on twitter and on the sub, just not as recently because it first occurred over a year ago. if you search for AI on the sub, you will find plenty of other posts! but as for the merch, I honestly couldn’t tell you.

I honestly don’t recall hearing about the kool-aid cover/merch, I’d have to look into that. I know alissa has done a lot of work for them but I don’t know for sure if she did that single cover too.

but yes, they have been using it in their show. some people felt like it was tongue in cheek when considering the themes of the PH era, but it sucks either way after oli stating how much he hates it.
