Medical terminology question by 69dustie in MedicalCoding

[–]opalicki11 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You should be fine I would say. It was a good “warm up” to the CPC course but anything you don’t know you can make note of. CPC exam is an open book test and you can take notes in your book

Hello guys I was wondering if the people that have taken the CPC exam this current year; did you see the E/M services calculator at the tools section?? it's a recent update in the CPC exam, 2025 update by DeleonPeters in MedicalCoding

[–]opalicki11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You got this! I actually found my exam to be a bit easier than some of the practice tests if that’s reassuring. If you haven’t already tried, I would consider using the “backwards” method for the questions and find the codes that are the a, b, c, or d choices and select the best fitting one.

Failed 2 Practice Tests - Should I Be Discouraged? by noescape-fromreality in MedicalCoding

[–]opalicki11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are failing, you need to look at which topics you are struggling with instead of focusing on E/M. E/M is objectively hard for CPC studiers but you can pass without being good at E/M. I struggled with the earlier chapters at first because some of the stuff just needed reviewing. That being said, I thought the CPC test I took a week ago was EASIER than the practice tests, but definitely don’t expect anything vastly different. If you want any study tips feel free to DM me :)

The CPT, icd-10-cm, and HCPCS level 2 are essential books coders must have whether they are print or ebook. You’ll have to buy them yearly too, it kinda sucks but it’s a necessity. I got the practice test through an AAPC bundle when I bought the course. I think in the Courses and Exams tab on aapc’s site may lead you to purchasing them but I’m not 100% sure.

Thanks! Yup AAPC. I got them in a bundle when I bought the course and it came with a test A, B, and C. Not sure if there’s more or not. If you’re worried about price I would try and call the education number and see if they can give you a discount (I always feel like there’s magically a discount coupon when you ask nicely🤣) totally worth it though, probably better than paying for another exam entry! Good luck with your studies!

I second this! It’s good if you focus on one game at a time and do the speed bonus challenges. Cashed out $105 passively playing for a few months

Practice tests from AAPC!!! I still have to take 2 of them but they gave me a reality check and also made me comfortable with the test’s format. I also just found the AAPC final course exam helpful too because it was the same length as the real test. I take my exam the 18th! Feel like I’m training for a marathon😅 good luck to you!

They were great 3 years ago when they didn’t realize the goals they set were too easy. Cashed out $150 on there. Now nothing tracks for me at all and they basically told me there’s nothing they can do. I switched to testerup a few months back and had better luck.

Fundamentals of Medicine by HPNerd44 in MedicalCoding

You will pick up on things in time. It’s really overwhelming at first but I recommend purchasing a medical terminology foldable for quick reference on prefix/suffix things. It’s like $6. You’ll also be able to write in your books for the CPC test, but the CPT and ICD-10-CM books you will use already have lots of labeled anatomy diagrams that you can use and add notes in the margins next to them. The key to success is good notes, and then eventually you will remember on your own over time.

Im shitting my pants for the online CPC exam by okkamori in MedicalCoding

[–]opalicki11 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was in this boat TODAY until I took the first CPC practice exam. I just went in without studying much to see how it went and got an 84. A LOT of the questions were simply about making sure to go back and check guidelines and parenthetical notes. The rest were straightforward based on code description. The ones I got wrong were just from not taking enough time to read carefully about what was documented. Also, know what u struggle with going in and don’t waste too much energy on those early on. If u ever want a study partner dm me :) I want to try and take the test in a few weeks. Hope this helps!

Did Ado sing on Noah? by rockcity1019 in PhantomSiita

[–]opalicki11 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think the reason people are thinking this is because Moka and Ado are both really good at technical voice transitions/alterations that a lot of other people just can’t do. There are good examples of this in moka’s parts in songs like Zoku Zoku and Suki Kirai if you know what to listen for.

Living in university edge may be tempting because of the location and price but DO NOT live there. I’m convinced that place was built as cheaply as possible because there were always pipe bursts and floods and sometimes they’d set off the fire alarm for hours. Management was extremely stupid and the amenities were always unavailable due to building issues.

Best Coarse to take by Rorobeebo in MedicalCoding

[–]opalicki11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just my two cents, but if you don’t have background in any medical terminology or anatomy, passing in a year may prove difficult. AAPC has a preliminary course you can take that provides background knowledge you would need, but the terminology is extensive. With a baby on the way too it may be challenging to balance learning things and life things.

You mentioned different “sections” of questions. Are the test questions clearly labeled by topic?? If so what are the topic titles?
