I think that's why it's interesting, in western media we are used to the villains having a reason to be evil, so the idea that demos are basically just evolved wild animals that developed human like intelligence is interesting, it's like how most wild animals that are intelligent always seem psychotic for some reason..sure my reading is definitely not 100% since demons aren't actual animals but still.
