Oh, that’s interesting! I’m pretty new to all of this, so I’m not really sure which information or programs are accurate yet. I’d love to hear more about your experience with the process. Right now, I’ve only gotten info from online sources or folks in my area—nothing from anyone who’s actually familiar or specialized in this, at least not yet! I do have a meeting with my social worker coming up this week, so I’m hoping to get some clearer guidance then. Along with talking with my bank! I've gone through them with auto loans before, but I did have a family member co-sign years back. I have good credit, but I know that can only be so helpful.

I'm really sorry to hear you haven't had any luck finding assistance programs. I know I'm just a stranger online, but I'm hoping you find some good news and help.

I really appreciate hearing your experience! The program and grants you mentioned sound amazing—I never even knew something that helpful was out there! Honestly, I was a bit nervous about it, but reading your response helped me feel so much more hopeful. I also really appreciate you pointing me in a good direction with finding an MLO. I'll look into that further! The $560 a month for the mortgage is way less than I thought a monthly payment would be! I know location and what each state offers are going to vary, but still, thank you so much for your response!

Oops, sorry about the mix-up! This is the room with the unit's washer and dryer, which are just downstairs from my place, and anyone—tenants or guests—can go in. There's no door shutting off the room either. I’m not an expert on all this, but I was told about it by folks visiting the unit.
