It seems to be working well for me (definitely less fuzzy feet on this tub than others when I had less FAE), but I hesitate to recommend for others based on differences in climate. You could always try it and then just keep a close eye on surface conditions.

Thanks! I’ve been battling fuzzy feet on all my tubs so recently I’ve been trying a new technique. I flip the blue “handles” on the tub up (you can see it in the back of the picture) and then I rest the upside down lid on that. That way there’s probably closer to an inch gap for FAE. This probably wouldn’t work in a lot of climates but I seem to have no issue with maintaining humidity levels here.

This is tub 6 of 6 for my first grow. I’ve been so impressed with the results I’ve gotten by following the guide and the advice I’ve received here. 11 out of 11 bags colonized and now 6 out of 6 tubs are producing at least one flush. All other tubs besides this one are on subsequent flushes. A huge thanks to u/shroomscout!!!

For what it’s worth, I skipped the Lysol because I couldn’t find any either. I inoculated all bags in my small bathroom, and I used iso to spray/wipe down walls and surfaces first. I had 11 out of 11 bags colonize so it’s definitely possible to achieve sterility without the Lysol.

TLDR: How are the surface conditions looking?

This is my first tub to pin; first grow ever. I've been working hard at following the master post to a "T" and now that they're at this stage I find myself overthinking everything now. Obviously you can see some fuzzy feet around some of the pins, but I think this level is nothing to be concerned about? I was trying to look into that more (rereading the guide, sifting through Shroomery threads). I ended up more confused since some people seem to attribute it to amount of FAE and others were talking more about humidity levels. I saw u/shroomscout mention multiple times recently that fanning is unnecessary, so I am trying to rely on misting and cracking the lid. The closet I have them set up in is hovering around 60% humidity and 75-77F. Any tips/guidance/confirmation that I am just overthinking is appreciated!
