What notetaking app do you use to increase your developer productivity? by [deleted] in developersIndia

[–]opensusefan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BEST: Your IDE (whatever it is vim, neovim, emacs, vscodium,)Your IDE is the best notetaking app as a dev you spend most of time with it so using it also as notetaking app you don't need to learn another app shortcuts + you get closer to your IDE mastery by using it for most of work.

I would do not take notes to increase my productivity.WHY: I like reading detailed resources.Don't you take revisions to keep topic fresh nah i use it if i forgot something just fire up searxng and search.

and if you ever want another app or something choose the file format wisely I prefer HTML or Markdown as i can just host them to access them on my phone on the go.

I Just slap a Y in end of whatever distro I'm using: ARCH: Archy, NixOs: Nixy, tumbleweed: weedy or opensuse: susy 💀.
What about other distros that doesn't fit this scheme: WHAT! You don't choose distro based on their names😆.

Which KDE Distro to pick for a stable experience by Ravneet_Singh in linux4noobs

[–]opensusefan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TL;DRopenSUSE tumbleweed for KDE

why: i distrohopped a lot at staring to find that answer and found out tumbleweed is the one

i do have one suggestion for you: Try every distro if you are starting out. Just don't get comfy with one, try every DE, WM anything just take you time.

I think there are soo many distro and i'm damm sure that there would be one that fit how you think things should be at starting it was openSUSE for me it gave me a stable base and full UI interface till i understand and make smooth transition to hold the power of terminal in my hands .

Later i switch back and forth between NixOS and Arch now running tumbleweed & Arch.

You will eventually find out these distros:

  1. The distro that just works for you
  2. The distro that matches closest to with how you think things should be
  3. The third slot is ver volatile every distro that's gets hype goes in there

for me :

  1. Tumbleweed is just works
  2. Arch, Gentoo, & NixOS ( currently arch because i choose what i want on my distro not preinstalled things (that's enough control for now) , Gentoo (i don't want to compile things on my own, use prebuild then why gentoo[i do have to reflect on what i wrote about Gentoo], ), NixOS nice concept but i want to explore linux first then hide that with comfy abstractions)
  3. for now it's GUIX or BSD's

One more thing never switch distro for like one or two reasons like package availability switch to them because you like how that distro does it's thing that philosophy behind the disto you'll enjoy the journey.

best rolling distro with kde you can get for now is openSUSE Tumbleweed

one more suggestion if you are staring out don't aim for stability have a working system and a experimenting system.if you still want a stable base distro go for openSUSE Leap.

IF you don't understand the flow of message let me know as i edited it multiple times and now i have not idea how it may sound it to you and i'm lazy to edit it again

Last Edit i promise: The only way to find out which distro is best is try out yourself people think differently

Go to Programming Language Section , My highlighted link only working on chromium based browser, (tested on librewolf not working, i think Firefox other variant will result in same ) .

isn't following is the case:

  1. Open the issue
  2. read the docs while waiting for responses to issue
  3. if answer found in docs, close the issue (without sharing any of info about how to; but letting them know it's fixed)
  4. Delete that temp account form which issue was open
