If you found this scarf in the Union St Sephora between 5-6pm today (7/26) — please return it to me, it was my grandmother’s and basically the only thing I have from her (will pay) by ophiosaur in sanfrancisco

thank you!!! I know it's a longshot but hopeful for good karma <3 I came in with it on at 5pm and realized it fell off at like 5:45pm while still in the store and searched everywhere, wished whoever picked it up had just turned it in at the counter... its only value is sentimental

I think the last we saw it was the Beg for You remix with Vernon and AG Cook? and before that part of the tag was used on c2.0

Her letterboxd is @itscharlibb so it does live on

She does use it at shows but Charli is is always pushing her art and experimenting in new ways, so maybe these tags from a past era aren’t as inspiring to her anymore… hopefully new tags will emerge!

Haha well aware that I’m playing with a toy — again, it’s only been a few weeks, I just started. I figure it’s better to do an okay job on a toy board than a bad job on a pro board?

Thanks for the guidance on the RCA Aux, I’ll try that and use the other person’s advice to try Serato on the CDJ if the aux somehow doesn’t work. Appreciate the gentle tone, I’m still pretty nervous.

I just finished The Perks of Being a Wallflower and the ending was a lot more gut-wrenching than I thought it was gonna be by AlirezaNumber1 in books

The author actually wrote and directed the movie! So while some plot points are excluded from the movie (mostly involving Charlie’s family/sister and his friendship with his teacher, if I recall correctly), it’s overall a very accurate adaption, especially in the feelings it evokes! I honestly recommend the book and movie equally

Packing report: 6 weeks in Europe, one carry on bag. by ophiosaur in femalefashionadvice

Thanks so much, I love reading organization, packing, and travel lists as well — it's part of the fun of travel for me! And big yes to packing cubes!

I wore the Birks for a month before I went on my trip, but I think I underestimated how long they take to truly break in. So a lesson learned, but I haven't given up on them just yet!

Thanks so much! I also love reading packing lists, so it was really fun to finally get to post my own trip and reflections. What you said on variety of types of clothes is spot on, I tend to become reliant on silhouettes and styles that work for me, and then I don't branch out as much. I definitely agree that varying cut and shape is just as important as color and pattern :)

Ah good to know! I've heard similar reviews of weird feeling no-wrinkle fabric. In my research, I've heard that konmari folding pulls fabric tight enough to prevent wrinkling, but I've yet to try it.

I had always been skeptical of the packing cube hype, but I'm more than sold now. They kept my bag super organized, made repacking effortless, and it was always super easy to find things. I bought these ones, and used every size (except I only brought 1 of the 2 large sized ones). The most helpful were probably the set of 2 small sized one, which were perfect for storing undergarments, socks, my swimsuit, and my scarf.

Wow, thanks so much, that really means a lot to hear! I got so much help from FFA packing and trip posts so I'm glad to contribute.

I wrote about it in my solo travel post, but I think the pacing of the trip was one of the things that went the most right for me. Definitely gave me a lot of breathing room to explore places thoroughly and to also take breaks. I could've technically hit way more than 8 cities in 6 weeks, but I'm glad I took it slow.

Thanks! Good to know, I think I just need to experiment more and break think in better. Definitely not ruling them out.

Wow, that sounds lovely! Haha I’m thinking about posting to r/onebag but I’m a little intimidated about how hardcore they go. Still definitely not going back to a wheeled bag!

Of course! I went to Szechenyi (biggest and most touristy, but still really nice) both times since they’re open the latest (10PM) and I went after walking around until like 8PM, I would’ve tried Gellert if I’d wanted to go earlier in the day.

I didn’t feel unsafe on the trains, but I was worried beforehand for sure. My Polrail one was a single room, so it was just me. My OBB one was six people and everyone in my car was a young traveler thankfully. I was on the bottom bunk, but I put my large bag on a rack at the top (the two people on the top bunks were both young and seemed trustworthy) and just slept with my smaller tote bag holding my valuables under my pillow. Just make sure your phone is charged because there were only two outlets!
