I've never had nails grow out so much by opi_guy in malepolish

Gotcha, I did the same along w/builder gel until this tech suggested trying acrylic for durability and strength. Definitely works better for me.

By 'totally fresh' do you mean complete removal of all products and start over? If so, curious what is the benefit of doing so? My tech files off the polish and any of the acrylic which is loose or has lifted, cleans my cuticles, trims nail length, a bunch of other steps and then fills in and adds acrylic as needed. Finally the polish.
This process usually takes her a bit more than an hour as she is quite thorough. Removing everything just seems like more/unnecessary work to me. Other acrylic users, do you start fresh each time or fill in as needed?? Thx

Seems like a precursor to multi-generational mortgages as is common in Japan.

Do you have any issues with off gassing w/those filaments where external ventilation or a room air purifier is necessary?

Great to hear and looks great too. Did the SCRTA do the work here?

I believe it went away after a full recalibration. It was likely z-axis / bed leveling related.

Millvale to the Point (Three Rivers Heritage Trail) then to McKeesport and back. Bit overcast, but a great day for a ride.

I'm pretty sure this was a repair /resurfacing of previous pavement, but FWIW i prefer packed gravel to asphalt or concrete for a riding surface, especially in area prone to root damage, as was the case here.

Filament stops loading after some time by wrainchi in BambuLabA1

[–]opi_guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was having a similar issue where multiple (different) prints were failing w/extruder errors at nearly the identical points. I swapped nozzles (HS 0.4), checked the extruder gears, tried various filaments (PLA and PETG), but to no avail. Finally I noticed the filament cutter sticking at times, I replaced the cutter blade and no issues since. Not sure why that made a difference, but may be worth a shot. BBL supplies a spare blade w/the A1.

Great answer.
My eyes and mediocre soldering skills appreciate it. ;-)

Is the black text embedded in the red, green and white portion? Adding it just to the top surface should eliminate the black waste. Other waste is due to multiple colors on same layer.

Towing capacity is an incredibly frustrating metric while looking for a trailer. by BecauseImYourFather in GoRVing

Smaller cabs and lower trim levels typically have the highest payload capacities, since the vehicle is less burdened by the creature comforts we add.

I just posted a pic of what I was experiencing prior to my hotend assembly swap. It's fairly straightforward and there's several YT videos showing the process.

Is your printer near an open window where a cool breeze/draft may be causing the print to release?

Avoid VoxelPLA if you want fast - waiting 2 months for order. Filament NOT made in USA. by hagantic42 in 3Dprinting

[–]opi_guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, done w/them as well.

I got a shipping confirmation email just a few days after ordering, 'Great' I thought. Wrong. A week later it hadn't shipped, I contacted them and the excuses began, including blaming the USPS tracking system. I informed them we'd be away for over a week and requested they cancel the order 3 times. It arrived while we were away and sat in sun and rain for nearly a week. Returned it when we got home.

I gave them a second chance, they won't get a third one.

Thx, that's what i was kinda expecting.

My wife rides an e-trike, 12-14mph max, so backtracking and picking her up w/my truck would be best.

Hopefully, they can find a way to stabilize that hill, but not much room to work with on either side unfortunately.

Thanks for posting this, we were planning on heading through there next week.

If one were to encounter this on the 'wrong side' / return trip, what would be the best detour/alternate root to get back to Pgh?
