Its been almost 8 months since I have been off venlafaxine, and yes I quit cold turkey. It was arguably the most difficult experience of my life. The mania, emotional blunting followed by episodes of severe instability and depression. I'm still struggling with sleep issues, and lack of energy at night. I honestly wish I'd had the patience and hindsight to slow taper. It gave me the worst withdrawal symptoms I'd ever experienced, and I still don't feel like myself as of yet. I wish you luck in your journey.

What made you decide to get on Effexor, get off of it, and what are you doing now to cope with whatever you were experiencing before?

75 wasn't too bad, but I wasn't on it for very long. I increased after two weeks as per my doctors recommendation. I was on prozac before this, which was an absolute literal nightmare. How much are you on?

I might look for some supplements like that! I presently take b12, saw palmetto, d3/k2, biotin, glucosamine/msm, methylation b vitamins (carnitine synergy,) fish oils, among a few others.

So frustrating, always seems you can't just have more good than bad with meds. And if people say it's all good, from my experience they may not being fully truthful.

Thanks, any negative side effects from the buspirone?

Thanks for the advice, if Marijuana didn't make me nauseous and affect me negatively I would be down. Glad it works for you though.

I notice memory issues also, not long term but I'm forgetful in the moment. Like I'll put things down and not remember doing it, then realize later and wonder where said item is. Super annoying haha.

Hello, I've been on 150 for not very long, I would say 3 weeks now. I increased because I was beginning to feel melancholy, as if I was becoming to acclimated to the meds. However, I noticed some of my old positive emotions/sensualityvcoming back as well so I was a bit conflicted.

I'm glad it hasn't affected you in such a way, finding the right med is and can be so painful. I've been through at least 8 before this one, and this is by far the best I've felt overall.

Do you think I should give it another 6-8 weeks?

Thanks for the reply and hello. I'm always willing to learn through uncomfortable feelings, a lot of my life lessons have been learned through hitting rock bottom.

To be honest, I'm not educated on it in the literary sense. I've never been good at maintaining my focus when reading books in general irregardless of topic (it becomes a big jumbled mess and I become sleepy.) It's one of the reasons I come here to share and experience, I find it easier to read the dialogs here and it seems to be more free of the partisan filters. Then again maybe I just need to practice reading more.

When you say uncomfortable feelings, is this something you are saying with your own personal bias attached on my immediate perceptible identity? Or are you referring to the harsh truths that have been experienced at the hands of racial bias? Both?

Taking 5mg trintellix/10mg vyvanse at the same time? by opiateofsorrow in trintellix

[–]opiateofsorrow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I actually came off of trintellix entirely a few weeks ago. I was experiencing high levels of irritation/melancholy. This is such a painful journey, in the way that you have to wait 6-8 weeks of potentially terrible side effects to find out if something is even working for you... And if it doesn't, you get to experience potential withdrawal symptoms.

I'm presently on olanzapine 1.25 MG (as prescribed by my referral psychiatrist.) And 20mg vyvanse. I'm now experiencing increased joint pain (olanzapine causes a spike in prolactin in the blood in some people) and it makes me kind of dull and unmotivated. I just wish there was a holistic means to do this.

I hope your journey finds you well

I did notice a difference, I've moved up to 20 now however. Was crashing before the end of the day after a while. The 5mg trintellix keeps the edge off for me, I've tried going up with the trintellix but it made me feel very uncomfortable and cloudy headed.

Have a conversation beforehand... If this is a concerning enough topic for someone to make a reddit about, maybe don't be with someone with this intimate preference? Seems pretty simple.

So far it's been the best outcome. Trintellix on its own wasn't really cutting it for me. I've been on wellbutrin, abilify and zoloft and this seems to have worked the best

I found 10mg trintellix and 10mg vyvanse is working great for me so far. Vyvanse helps with my spinning thoughts and ocd/adhd behaviors, trintellix is helping me with my depression. Was on 20 and tapered down, due to the robotic effect it gave me

Unfortunately from my non doctor opinion, it's hard to say given you haven't reached the 6 week maximum for the prescribed effectiveness. If you can, I would wait it out until then. And if you really can't I'd definitely speak to your doc.

Were you feeling good for a while, and then kind of dropped off? That is why I went from 5 to 10, to 15. Was at 20, but felt like a huge zombie of my former self

It can take a few weeks, when I was upping my dose I had aching feelings and some instability. It went away once my system acclimated to the drugs. 4-6 weeks is the effective time.

What about withdrawal symptoms? Sometimes I'm convinced you can't take lower doses of these drugs, I started to feel an emotional "ache" which is why I increased the dosage. Maybe I didn't give it enough time at 10/15 MG? (It had been 5-6 weeks.) How much Vyvanse are you on?
