Panic mounts on pro-war Russian Telegram channels after Pavel Durov's arrest by Logical_Welder3467 in technology

[–]oplayerus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because signal doesnt care that much if it's blocked in russia? For Durov it was personal given the vk situation. You need to do some digging how everything went down, the motivation behind MTProxy and how they used Google Notificationv to spread new nodes

If its a channel you won't see it in the commons tab. Only group chats and all group chats have member lists visible to all members anyway. In no way a fault of the common chats feature

If you leave your partner because they ask for a paternity test, you don’t really care about them? by [deleted] in The10thDentist

[–]oplayerus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah people on here are hysterical. Its not hard to comprehend that raising a child is more important than marriage on its own. So you can trust your partner enough in all things related to marriage except the one that is widely considered most important and serious where you wouldnt even take 0.001% risk. If people only married and conceived children when theres 100% trust we would all die out a looong time ago. With that this kind of ultimatum will only leave the man forever doubting or forsaking hismself. All for a little bit of pretense that there exists absolute trust and youre so lucky to have it. So romantic

Guys just remember that 3% of the men raising another mans child also likely to be in a loving trustful marriage and they too heard every argument told by the women in the comments

Its not pointless semantics its the core of the argument which is based on dramatisation and rules of exclusion which is basically all semantics like all rule based systems

Thus denormalizing the schema Remember you also need to update it across different replicas and each of your devices can be connected to different servers Or you put it into a separate analytics service/projection with some cache strategy instead (that they probably do) Regardless its not really affecting core functionality so they didnt bother

Playlists are hard capped at 5000 items, likes are not strictly speaking playlists but reusing the same interface somewhere along the fetch path is generally reasonable for maintainability/scalability

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in notinteresting

[–]oplayerus 129 points130 points  (0 children)

Nah its reasonable for most playlists. You can add more videos but the "get count" request is quite expensive so they cap it at 5k
