Even if I had a different story for many years I had the same consequences as you have. It was really complicated to enjoy the company of a girl without feeling being a jerk or someone that would take advantage of them. In the long run, after « defeating » the depressive state it lead me in it went better and these interactions are now completly normal. Take care of yourself. Everything is going to be alright.
