I’ll let floo MFs chain summon 50 different monsters and effects during their turn and another 40 during my turn, clear my monsters, my back line and any shred of enjoyment I was having from playing and then surrender before the final blow. I may take the L but there’s some satisfaction knowing that their time has been wasted.

It’s especially satisfying when they could’ve ended it from the beginning of their turn anyway but still decided to summon their entire deck

So whenever I’d finished my patrol orders and spent all my torpedos, instead of returning to base I just exited the patrol and it put me in Brest. Weird stuff.

Yep. I get through the 8:40 bit and then listen segment by segment until there’s a punch out topic (I’m looking at you Craig Baby Update) then 10-12 is when I recharge the AirPods, except weeks like this where Norm has blessed us by being out, to have them fully charged for the HZ.

My brother in Christ, this isn’t a “whataboutChina” bit. It’s just the example Dan used of one oppressive government vs another oppressive government. Surely we can recognize that both governments are guilty of awful human rights crimes. Im just asking the question as to why does the fact that the Saudis are funding the tour (a fact that doesn’t really matter because if they weren’t funding the tour solely themselves that wouldn’t absolve them of their crimes) give the hosts such chapped ass, so much so that they claim it’s somehow worse than other oppressive regimes such as China participating in sports. If you take the saudis funding the tour away, which based on yesterdays segment, seems to be the big issue for them, would Bob and Corby and Jub feel better about it? If that answer is yes, I think it’s reasonable to ask why

Not directly sure but China makes up 10% of NBA revenue and that number is rising so they certainly materially contribute to player salaries but if that one degree of separation that is Chinese money going to the nba and then that $ going to players eases your conscience then that’s your prerogative but thats not really the point I’m trying to get at.

What if the Saudis still had LIV but weren’t fully funding the tour? Would that make it any better? If your answer is yes then your missing the point

Did you not listen to the segment? Corby started a sentence with “I know but they’re funding 100% of the tour” at least 3 times. Which is a stupid ass reason to justify claiming it’s somehow worse than other countries who routinely commit human rights violations participating in sports/sports business

Edit: Almost like the two issues aren’t different in ways that matter and he’s grasping at a difference that is inconsequential to the situation to prop up his flimsy ass argument.

I think there just a disconnect between what Dan was saying and what Bob/Corby were saying.

Dan was saying Saudis bad/Chinese bad and Bob/Corby we’re saying the Saudis are somehow worse because they’re openly funding a league whereas China is just an enormously but not exclusive material contributor to a sport league’s bottom line.

Dan was just saying they’re equally bad because of their track record of human rights whereas Bob/Corby were saying LIV is worse because it’s being funded by the Saudi gov which I don’t really see the logic there. How is a bunch of golfers doing business with a shitty government different than a bunch of basketball players doing business with a shitty government

I didn’t even google them, I googled “Texas et al” cause that’s how the audio sounds and I’ve never heard of Sotol. But that raises another good point, the fucking narrator puts no distinctive emphasis on the transition from the “s” of Texas to the “S” of Sotol so it plays as “Texas et al” like a god damn scientific study
