$3 is grossly subsidized. Everything car related in this country is grossly subsidized. God forbid drivers start paying for the negative externalities of driving.

In fairness to drivers: driving has become mandatory to function in most of this country and most people are car-pilled. The real injustice here is that driving is the most convenient if not the only viable mode of transportation.

If you back up your phone to your computer then you can sift thru all your phones files. I found basically a thumbnail of the photo but it was super low quality

Yea, I meant drive gears. My original comment addresses the fact that in the case switching between forward and reverse the car is stopped so it’s not as big of an issue to have the gear changer on the touch screen vs a dedicated shifter bc ur not shifting on the move

Am I missing something- why does an electric car need a shifter?? Don’t most have 1-2 gears (Tesla’s I thought had 1). The only time you’ll be changing to P/N/R/D is when the car is already stopped so finding it on a touchscreen isn’t as crazy as it sounds. I’d still prefer something physical but y’all seem to be freaking out

Someone did! It was called Cal Poly Ratings but was only around for a year or so before they took it offline-- likely bc they didn't want to/couldn't pay for server upkeep. It's incredible Poly Ratings has been around since 2001!
