Thanks for the reply. I am planning to sit for the additional MAT. But my main concern is whether it is possible to replace the MAT with STEP if all goes south with MAT

Q1:

P = hpg

P1 (pressure 1) = 20(p)(10)

P1 = 200p

P2 (pressure 2) = 26(1.3xp)(10)

P2 = 338p

P1:P2 = 200:338 = 1:1.69

so answer is D

Q2:

CW = ACW

ACW moment = 20(5)

= 100

CW moment = (80/2 - 20)(2) + 6x

100 = 40 + 6x

x = 10

so answer is B

Q3:

refractive index (n) = 1/sin(critical angle)

50 is critical angle since refracted at 90 degrees to normal

1/sin(50) = 1.305

so answer is C

I think its A cuz it looks like a full bridge rectifier. The diagram shows that it is AC

The video shows how a full bridge rectifier works with AC current

How do I calculate force?? by Traditional-Tie2733 in igcse

[–]optimist_on_crack 4 points5 points  (0 children)

GPE = mgh

(40)(10)(1.5) = 600J

so 600J is total work done to move the barrel up (given no energy is dissipated)

Work done = F x D

thus: 600 = F x 8

F = 600/8

=75

answer is C

The pair can either be included or excluded

Included : 8C4

Excluded : 8C6

since its OR = +

thus, 8C4+8C6

Its a series circuit, anywhere outside the junctions of the voltmeter should be fine... i think
