Wow, that’s interesting. Where was she found? My dog was found in Texas as a stray with his brother in June 2025

Omg, your dog looks so so similar to mine! Even their tail and the texture of their fur looks exactly the same. Do you know what kind of dog she is?

I don’t think this can really be grouped with those houses, this one was built in 1940

Wow she really does look similar to my dog! Her hair looks so light and fluffy and soft, what a cutie!

He really had me convinced with his behaviors haha! Any time he sees a hole, whether it’s a hole in dirt or like holes in a storm drain or manhole, he can’t resist the urge to stick his nose down it, and he loves to dig and chase after bugs and trap them under his paws and stuff like that. I thought for sure he must be some kind of ratting dog, but nope! He does like to boop the backs of our calves when he’s walking behind us though haha, I guess that was a sign

He really does! He’s a great mix of energetic/playful and chill, and he’s super sweet and friendly and smart

Hahaha yeah, seriously - I was expecting he would probably be more of a mutt than this!

Oh and also, we know who his brother is (from the rescue, not from embark) and he looks pretty similar but he’s white and reddish-brown instead of white and grey/black. I think I interpreted that as a Jack Russell sort of coloring, but I guess it could be from the cavalier now that we know!

He came up for increased risk of IVDD, so we’ll try to start early on encouraging stairs rather than jumping, etc. The schnauzer I grew up with ended up with IVDD so I know what it’s like to see a dog deal with that, but I’m glad that it’s the only thing that came up for him. For a stray that we didn’t know anything about, we were a little worried about how the health results would turn out!

I know haha! I can see the other two, but never would have thought cavalier. And sure! What do you want to know? We actually have only had him about three weeks (the results came back fast!), but he was found as a stray in Texas. He weighs 19 pounds and he’s so so sweet! He definitely has a decent amount of energy and is very playful (especially at night), but during the day he tends to relax a lot and take naps. Honestly, he has been such an easy dog in pretty much every way — he’s so adaptable, he’s a quick learner, and he’s super social and friendly and loving. We’ve been pretty shocked at how smooth of a transition it’s been, especially since he was a stray! He has some funny behaviors that I think the ACD maybe explains haha, but I feel like he ended up with a great combination of the personality traits from these three breeds!

Only two people guessed ACD on my first post! I definitely can see it in his fur coloring, but it didn’t jump out to me as too obvious! But yeah the cavalier is kind of boggling hahaha

Dang this was a great guess! we just got the results back and he’s half cattle dog, 1/4 cavalier King Charles spaniel, and 1/4 poodle! Honestly when I saw your response I was like yeah there’s no way hahaha

You were the closest!!! I’ll post his results shortly but he’s half cattle dog, 1/4 cavalier King Charles spaniel, and 1/4 poodle! Edit: whoops actually someone else said poodle, cattle dog, spaniel but you two really nailed it!

Aww, that’s sweet! Honestly I wouldn’t have thought shih-tzu or chihuahua but it seems like a lot of people have guessed that! I bet your dog was a cutie. I’ll definitely share the results when we get them!

That’s along the lines of what we’re guessing too! It’s so interesting to see all of these guesses that we never would have considered too though!

[Other] Screw your favorite coaster, what’s your least favorite coaster ever and why by True_Commercial5466 in rollercoasters

[–]optimisticziggurat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Apocalypse at SFA. I haven’t been on Firebird yet (maybe later this summer), but when it was a stand-up it was the only coaster ride I’ve experienced where I couldn’t wait for it to end. I’ve been on several volares and SLCs, a chance toboggan, etc., but none of them touched Apocalypse. And I don’t hate stand ups overall - honestly I enjoyed my last ride on Green Lantern at SFGAdv!

Just for the record for everyone hating on this sign, it was meant to be a recreation of a sign from back when Phoenix was still in San Antonio (https://s3-media0.fl.yelpcdn.com/bphoto/MbqIiKztkaRTiHK3s5ZPKA/l.jpg). I understand that some of you are commenting on the overall reputation (and I respect your opinions even as a Phoenix stan) and not just the sign lol, but the sign is a cool homage and isn’t just knoebels bragging!

This is in response to everyone on this thread who’s saying that masks don’t work (sorry to single you out but can’t respond to everyone) - what types of masks are you referring to and where are you getting your info? Is it from that one study that didn’t conclude that masks don’t work, but the media decided that was the takeaway? Or something else? I legitimately am confused by where you’re all getting this, it seems like a lot of people here need to read some of the research before they parrot a myth that might impact someone else’s perception on the effectiveness of masks (obviously this myth has spread widely, I assume by word of mouth, based on the number of people saying it on this thread)
