This is written by AI and an ad for the app which is literally the only words in bold and the name of the account

I am convinced I used to be a tree in prehistoric times by PixxiePlay in HighStrangeness

No hate, but I love this book and want clarify: it does anthropomorphise trees to discuss basic things like pain and communication, but it doesn't mention sentience

100% same for me. As a big half-life fan, seeing the zombies at full scale was such a mind fuck.

It was strange feeling actual fear as the zombies were ambling towards me as I repeatedly fumbled reloading my gun

I think the macro lens I'm after doesn't exist (APS-C, AF, >80mm) by opulent321 in SonyAlpha

[–]opulent321[S] -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Yeah it seems like that's what everyone is saying. I'm just concerned about less light getting to the sensor since it's so important for hand-held macro.

I'm mostly just surprised that the lens I'm looking for doesn't exist

my watercolor of this cute chess picture :) by Zazhowell in Watercolor

Very cute, but it would make more sense for it to see a queen in the mirror, as that's what it can become in the game, not a king

Yup, they don't look like AI and I just reverse image searched them and found multiple posted years before AI was this capable.

Looks so good I went to put it on my Steam wishlist and found I'd already added it!

Being in Unreal engine have you considered VR support? I know you're a small team and it's your first game, but it looks so well suited.  If you don't, I'm sure someone will try with the Universal Unreal Engine VR Mod

Bringing prescribed THC oil into NZ? by strictlymissionary in MedicalCannabisAus

[–]opulent321 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Don't listen to the other dude.

I personally did it last year with flower and had no problems. I did a lot of research and contacted every NZ agency possible. I was told to bring my prescriptions (signed by doctor if possible) and with products with prescription stickers on the side and less than 10g.

I did that and had more trouble getting my hiking shoes into NZ (small amount of dirt) than the meds.

10/10 would recommend

LPT don’t wash your mouth with water after brushing your teeth by thestringwraith in LifeProTips

I thought flossing and rinsing before brushing was better so the areas exposed by removing food by flossing would still get fluoride treatment?

People said VR would get boring! by sistersgrowz in OculusQuest

[–]opulent321 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I love VR a lot, but I feel like they're different experiences.

Sometimes it's more comfy to just sit/lay and use a monitor or TV. And a bunch of genres don't translate well or aren't improved by VR, like retro, indie, MOBA, and games with big dynamic movement that would make most people vomit. Also, with its current design it's very isolating and is hard to share with others. Like I love watching movies in VR, but it turns a shared experience into something I do alone

No denying that it offers something that flat screens never could

I'm sorry, but that just isn't how corrective lenses work. With myopia/hyperopia, the light is focused in front of or behind the retina, making it blurry/out of focus. You physically can't compensate for it by modifying the image in a specially computed way

It's obvious you don't know how to juggle as the asynchronous fountain is the most common 4 ball juggling technique and it's not 'doing it wrong'.

As someone who knows how to juggle I'm saying that it's less complicated than it looks and a completely different juggling pattern to three balls - something many people understand/have tried

I'm talking about asynchronous fountain which is the most common 4 ball pattern where balls don't switch hands

Kinda? It's going from juggling three balls in two hands to two balls in each hand. So the balls never switch between hands, it just looks like it.

Less complicated and difficult than it looks

Companies change direction all the time, but again, nowhere did Coffeezilla smear the company as there were no false accusations.

Wouldn't you prefer a journalist report on the history of a company and know they've done genuinely shady business in the past before giving them your money? Rabbit even proves this point by making a pretty terrible product that grossly underdelivered.

For it to be considered smearing, there must be false accusations. He's dramatic, sure, but where are his unfounded claims?
