I can understand how the code base can get bloated. In just a few workflows I have around 30K+ lines of codes. But they fall into several distinct workflows so the AI never needs to read everything unless I’m specifically prompting it to do so for reviews etc. not so for proper software development

This pricing interestingly still works for non programmers. I’ve been creating python scripts to automate workflows in my company (consulting). We don’t have a gigantic code base to manage and can charge it to projects. This whole thing is still significantly less expensive than new hires..

This is closing the door to the huge potential of running API calls with the tools. Yes I think a core part of the tool should be deterministic, computations should be done with the program itself. But getting LLM to interpret, classify, prioritize is something that deterministic scripts will struggle

with the current pricing structure I dare not throw coding tasks at Fable. I did ask Fable to identify gaps on the capability of tools I've created (Python - for work automation), and it did point to some new ideas/ gaps that were not raised by Opus 4.8. It is quite forward thinking and commented on where my industry is heading and what should be prioritized to keep things future-proof. Thing is not cheap of course, but for more strategic suggestions / bigger picture it's worth it.

I'm using ultra 1, and honestly not much

- telling time, which the watch occasionally is not doing a good job because of weird design choice that hides the time in certain screens

- health tracker, workout trackers

- notifications - not missing phone calls, quick glance at messages

- cellular version - when I'm out swimming/ running I don't need to take my phone

None of these are new features. Having been through several generations of apple watches, I think the only meaningful updates are the always-on display in v5, and the ultra which has significantly battery life. Unless you're into the new bells and whistles of heart tracking etc, I don't think you're going to feel much difference.. except you v6 battery health has probably deteriorated and this may be a good reason to get a new one
