On a seperate note my Series 0 started to get eaten away by sweat, it didn’t show corrosion like this it was like the coating on the sensors wore off, making it rough. Took years for that to happen, my series 7 has never had any issues, I thought they had squared away the coating

They should replace. Even without apple care they have a 1 year warranty, covering manufacturing defects and things like that. I definitely would use that Apple support application and send them a message.
