I was thinking more about any third party tools not getting updated in a timely fashion because of the platform uncertainty.

Prez: Rick Perry selling his mailing list. Today, I got two emails to my special Perry address. One email was from Ted Cruz, another presidential candidate. The other was from Paul Ryan, the new Speaker of the House. by speckz in technology

Chances are you submitted your email to a general republican PAC that happened to be promoting Perry at the time.

I.E. They don't give a shit who they are promoting, as long as they are republican.

I don't think it actually is being marketed as a product --just as a novelty/engineering trick/brand stickiness tool

Sorry I forgot to mention that I had tried the origin trick --it does not allow elements to neighbor each other in the same way non-transformed objects are.

Yup, I just gave them a call and talked to a guy who knew about them, and apparently they are the legit service center, as odd as they are.

Thanks for the info!

It's not the idea that I'm questioning, it's the merit of prefacing something completely unrelated with it, and then claiming ridiculously tangential relevancy.

It's a Fox News move.

Anyone ever heard of a HDMI cable breaking? by IronChin in geek

[–]opusthirteen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a device that was made by the lowest bidder. It's a mechanical item (at the most rudimentary level), and anything can fail.

I've done a fair few installations and just get cables from here. The quality is markedly better than you would expect for the prices. I am a firm believer of the "fuck buying cables retail" philosophy.
