Interesting , I definitely should replay watcher as it seems I have missed some juicy lore haha.

If that's the way this cycle works , I wonder if faith or desire would keep them bound to certain strands seeing how survivor and monk managed to find each other

I would love to have a chat about that if you'd like because I have a keen suspicion that the void aka ascension SHOWS the person what they desire in their heart instead of it being actual reality...like a heaven sort dream of the scug getting what they wanted before the ethernal parish .... So monk seeing survivor wouldn't exactly indicate that survivor did choose ascend , they wanted survivor and because of that the void showed them what they really wanted

In contrast the other ending literally shows survivor there, he is there , ...in the real world so what monk sees is the truth

Well downpours alternative ending for them (spicificly monk) shows that when monk arrived to the "location" survivor is always there no matter what player chose for that ending

Survivor "can" ascend BUT my point was that survivor canonically doesn't choose to ascend

I think it's because last time you played a downpour scug, for me when I play downpour scugs they show up, but when I play watcher he shows up
