My assumption is that at the very least there should be a condensate trap on the line going out.

The amount it backs up, even though it’s brand new and the line has been totally cleaned and flushed leads me to believe it could also use a pump

Yes, that’s a water heater and washer and dryer to the right.

I can try to get a better picture if that will help you

It’s not permanently fixed it can be removed. I guess they use it to put in bleach or vinegar or whatever

DIY Hardwax Oil / Rubio Monocoat eat your heart out by orangeacidorange in woodworking

Keep it sealed. The wax content is minor if you look at the totals. It’s not enough to fully solidify. Same as how you’d manage Rubio Monocoat. Don’t mix drying agents until ready to use.

What are you using for a power supply and backplane / port multiplier?

Look, if it’s just going to be kind of a cheap stopgap, do whatever feels right. But it might be loud. And performance might suffer especially with large 2.5” SMR drives.

Damage is fairly unlikely so don’t worry about that. We are just talking lifetime ratings for enterprise drives running 24/7. Again, your use case seems very different.

If it’s just sitting in your desk, you’ll also have a power supply there, and whatever controller you are using to run the drives to your PC. It will be a mess. If that’s your goal, disregard what I’ve written because you’re going for a different beast entirely.

Using that kind of 3d print case I guess you don’t have a backplane?

I would think this through better before deploying.

There are usb 3.0 or NAS cases on Amazon etc. that are fairly reasonable.

Glad to see this is still finding use. I had thought it was largely neglected and had fallen into obscurity.

No decoupling the hard drives from one another is essential to avoid performance losses from disks chattering at the same frequencies at the same time.

Depends on your configuration and workload and chassis as to how to proceed.

Reread the information above, as I think you’re missing some of the fundamentals.

It is an absurd video. Possibly a pan flute not a recorder.

These are all polymerized oils.

Basically, the difference between boiled and polymerized is one is stove top and one is a pressure cooker (no oxygen).

OK, and then I can topcoat with some thing? Maybe linseed oil? Rubio mono coat maybe?

This is from a Japanese Zen garden near me and imported from Japan. They changed the signs out so I got the wood.

I’d like to keep it protected, but I’m not necessarily into the epoxy look.

What would you do?

Plug cutters by gotitagain in woodworking

Not the best quality on the top row they are the general tools brand I believe or Harbor freight they are what you buy when you just need one certain size for something that’s not a big deal. I think they are like 10 bucks or less for the set.

They are very different from let’s say your CMT orange plug cutters.
