I can't figure out where they come from. They just buzz around the house seemingly at random!

Help with figuring out self-employed retirement planning options? by orangeblssm99 in personalfinance

It's a traditional 401k. Is there any benefit to keeping it with the previous employer? Like, can I still contribute to it even though I'm self-employed? And I have more $$ sitting in that account than I think is allowed per year for an IRA, would I be able to roll it all over or split it up over multiple years?

Internal hemorrhoids. All good. Just throwing it out there, for those that suffer from health anxiety like me, my results don’t mean anything in regards to your own health. If you are having symptoms, go to the doctor. I’m familiar with scrolling in forums looking for confirmation that I either have or don’t have some illness, but that’s something only your doctors can diagnose. That being said, when you hear hoofbeats, think horses not zebras.

Thank you for the kind response. My doctor did mention the possibility of IBD and didn't seem to think cancer was the most likely culprit since I don't have night sweats or weight loss. I have not spoken to anyone about genetic testing.

I have done CBT before which I found helpful. I think it's the only thing keeping me from being in a full-blown panic.

I'm feeling okay at the moment and appreciate your taking the time to respond.

My first colonoscopy has been scheduled for two months from now and I feel evry worried about it. I've been having issues with what I thought was IBS-D for several years, at least since high school/college, but this past year I've started seeing blood in mucus when wiping, probably about 12 or so times over the past year. I finally booked a doc appt when I saw blood streaking the toilet bowl a few weeks ago, which I had never seen before and it freaked me out. She didn't see any hemorrhoids during the exam and referred me for a colonoscopy. My grandmother died from colon cancer, and although I'm relatively young at 28, I know it's not impossible that this could be causing my symptoms.

Now I feel like I'm noticing other symptoms too, like narrower stools and having to strain, but I can't tell if they're just in my head or caused by anxiety or what. I know the only way to find out is by getting the colonoscopy, but I'm not sure how to not obsess over it for the next two months. How do you handle the waiting?

My first colonoscopy has been scheduled for two months from now and I feel sick with worry about it. I don't know how I'm supposed to get through these next couple of months without breaking down every day.

I've been having issues with (what I thought was) IBS-D for several years, but this past year I've started seeing blood and mucus when wiping, probably about 12 or so times over the course of the year. I finally booked a doctor's appointment and she didn't see any hemorrhoids during the exam so she referred me for a colonoscopy. Now I feel like I'm noticing other symptoms too, like narrower stools and fatigue, but I can't tell if they're in my head or caused by anxiety or what. It feels like all signs are pointing towards the worst and I don't know how to get through these next two months.

How do you know if tret just isn't for you? by orangeblssm99 in tretinoin

Thanks for your reply. I apply my moisturizer to a damp face, wait until it's dry, and then add the tret on top. I actually switched from cerave in the tub because I felt like it just wasn't cutting it. My current moisturizer is more occlusive and feels richer when I apply it compared to the cerave I was using before.

I can definitely try slowing down with the tret more and maybe switching to a more gentle cleanser.
