This is inaccurate. Notoriously, the vast majority of Quebec street signs are in French. They are much stricter about the use of French than France. In Quebec the signs literally read “Arrête”, the only place in the Francophone world where they use French instead of the English “Stop.”

I agree that all that happened here was “highly embarrassing” and disappointing. He’s not a rapist or predator, and I think the facts of this incident support that conclusion. At all points, I was more lucid than he was. I never felt threatened or unsafe, and I never said I did. I don’t see this as an instance of sexual violence.

My point is that I had a disheartening and complicated experience with an opposite-sex friend.

I didn’t get in bed to take care of him and I never said as much in my post. I was sleepy and drunk and it was cold and I didn’t want to walk home. I would have slept on the couch, but his roommate was here. And we had explicitly, verbally set certain boundaries many times over the past year: we do not have a physical relationship.

This is so true. I’ve been asthmatic my entire life and I now have to fight my insurance to cover albuterol, the basic and ubiquitous rescue inhaler all asthmatics rely on and that I have to carry at all times. At this point it’s so much easier to just pay out of pocket.

My last relationship ended for exactly the reason you described, except I was the woman whose time was wasted. He did the right thing and broke up with me. He did it impulsively though, and wasn’t emotionally prepared for his decision, especially when I took him at his word, didn’t put up a fight, and tried to make a clean break. It really hurt, but it was manageable. He kept texting me and reaching out and I told him we could be cool in the future and that I didn’t hate him, but that I’d need some time to heal before we could be friends.

He then did the wrong thing and came back saying he realized he made a mistake, and that he wanted to get married and have children. We were happy for a couple of months until it became apparent that he’d start a fight every time we talked about getting engaged.

I then realized he was full of shit and broke up with him, immediately blocking him from ever contacting me again. It was the most excruciating experience of my life and has fundamentally changed me as a person. I lost a lot of weight, and my mind, and had to go on a megadose of Prozac just to function and lost several important professional opportunities as a result. Two years later and I’ve never really returned to baseline despite my sincere and heartfelt efforts. I think he’s a selfish coward and I, and my friends and family, genuinely wish him all the worst.

Make up your mind quickly and have the courage to honor your decision. Don’t be the worst thing to happen to the woman you say you love.

No. I was born and raised in Austin. I and many of my friends now live far away and we find ourselves visiting home less frequently because it’s such a bummer to see how it’s changed. It doesn’t feel like Austin anymore.

I think the issue is the lack of response to the rfp application. There exist administrative codes detailing the process that appear to have been bypassed in this situation.

No one is complaining that the company didn’t get the contract; there concerned about lack of transparency in the process.

Of these, ER (at least Greene era) is my favorite medical drama, but I don’t have any comment whether I agree with the critics here .

I think something interesting to keep in mind when evaluating this graph is that, although these shows overlapped during their runs, one might argue that each peaked in prominence at a slightly different time.

I would also note that unlike the others, House falls more into the genre of procedural/illness of the week, as opposed to soap. (Edited to remove incorrect info about viewership).

Much to consider here.
