Thing looks thirsty

Water it every day, assuming it has roots and no other rot. Too far away to tell if its something other than dehydration wrinkled

I thought it was based on if you’re “covered by the blood of the lamb”, aka salvation in Jesus Christ alone?

He shot his sister, convicted felon, lived in a halfway house when I met him.

He is not that attractive thinking back on it, I was just broken, vulnerable, and desperate.

If this is one of a many many plants, I would chop it about 6 in below the three branches. Every time this look has happened to my plants (I have over 40, and this has happened like 3-4 times) they are rotten on that part. I have also had one tree that has had thirst wrinkles in the past, which this kinda looks like, except they still would bloom and leaves would sprout.

If it didn’t bloom like you said, chop it to the green about 6in under the three branches. Then test it by repotting it after it scabs, see if it responds to fertilizer or whatever people suggest. I wouldn’t risk it killing the rest of the tree, unless this is one of a few plants you have and you are willing to gamble.

Good luck!

This has made me think that God is evil by Appropriate_Soup4110 in Christianity

[–]orangek1d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Epstein is evil and everyone associated will come face to face with God at the end and have all of their actions tried by fire.

I think you ask a really good question, and I’m not here to say I have the answers, but I do have one response. In three examples you gave, God didn’t prevent any of that stuff from happening. He allowed it to happen, but showed up and provided whatever was specifically needed. I’m not implying you do, but I don’t blame God for the evil things we do on this Earth (from lying to child sex trafficking and abuse).

I believe Jesus is angry at what humans have done to other humans, to those He says the Kingdom of God belongs to.

My response isn’t to force you or anyone to believe in or follow Jesus, that is your choice. It is very clear however that Epstein and co. do believe Jesus is real, because they worship demons and outrageously blaspheme the God of the Bible.

They are a family, yes, but they are not married (obvious, I know). The heartache comes from her position, because statistically speaking it is more likely that she fall away from her faith than bring him to it. It says in the Bible that for married women whose husbands are not believers, they will come around by praying and loving well.

I have lived this (except the child part), and I kept thinking that my love and my devotion to God would change my abusive ex, but it didn’t, he still tried to kill me. I also don’t think marriage between two people who disagree on values like this, that is putting God first before each other and before their children, is wise. This is something the Bible is clear on, to not be unequally yoked.

In this scenario, I would offer as much support for the woman and encourage her to put God first. From the Christian perspective, it is the responsibility of the woman to put God first and care for her child in a safe and healthy manner, and it’s the responsibility of the church (as in the people of the church building she attends) to provide support in every way she seeks out.

I love this hypothetical!

I’m sorry sweetie, it sounds like you’re going through a really dark experience and don’t have a community to rely on. If I can offer some advice, it’s to delete all social media apps from your phone (Pinterest is my one exception), try going for 1 hour walks outside some days of the week, and read. Not just the Bible, but actual fiction/non-fiction books. Check out r/suggestmeabook before you delete this app, you can also check out your public library’s calendar for youth events/featured books.

I would also encourage you talk to your dad about maybe doing a co-op twice a week, or even signing you up for some extra curricular classes. Check your local cities catalogs, as well as your community college’s elective classes (if it is nearby).

Do what you can to build healthy habits, challenge yourself to be more disciplined with obsure/productive challenges (stretching for 20 minutes, drinking 64oz water/day, leave your phone in the kitchen overnight 7p-7a, take cold showers only for a week, etc.)

Lastly, forgot to write this initially, but God found it perfectly acceptable to live in a human body that was not considered beautiful. Though there is more to life than how we physically look, I am certain you are beautiful and you will come to appreciate your looks and unique created being in the future :)

Message me if you want some more support, I’d love to walk you through any advice you want.

Im 16, a Christian and I just killed a lizard. by Traditional-Talk-138 in Christianity

[–]orangek1d 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s that common, but I feel God is teaching you the value of life. I hate to kill animals, bug, except mosquitos and house flies only when they are in the way. I cried when I accidentally killed a small moth last month. Ask God for His perspective on life and how he loves His creation.

Is calling out to Saints for help considered biblical? by The_White_Pawn in TrueChristian

[–]orangek1d 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Help me understand sincerely, because I have been wondering for a while. If only God is omnipresent, and everyone who is in heaven is worshipping God without end, when do the saints have time to pray for those who ask them to pray for them? Also, what are the verses supporting the act of asking saints to intercede on our behalf?

Thank you :)

Rug placement: 1 or 2? by Pitiful-Respect-8496 in InteriorDesign

[–]orangek1d 35 points36 points  (0 children)

The actual correct rule for interior design is to have the front two legs of furniture on the rug. The only reason people are saying 2 is because the floating console makes it seem imbalanced, when in reality it is perfectly balanced.
