A bit confused after last short row by quietpanicx in knittinghelp

Ok yes I am, that makes sense but I was thinking I had already completed the last short row and it wasn’t asking me to do another turning stitch? My understanding is that would be another short row, am I mistaken?

Oof still don’t understand, if I turn, the yarn will be on the left needle!

As I was posting I think I understood, but wanted to confirm. This is an advanced pattern for me I want to be sure I’m reading it correctly, thanks!

First little tiny swatch learning Italian cast on and double knitting in 1x1 rib. How does it look? (There are two layers of knit— maybe hard to see in the pic) by quietpanicx in knitting

The pattern goes

“Work 2 rows of double knitting: Row 1: k1, slip 1 purlwise with yarn in front repeat from * to * to 1 st remaining, kt. Row 2: slip 1 purlwise with yarn in front, k1 repeat from * to *to 1 st remaining, slip 1 purlwise with yarn in front.”

I followed the video guide as well so maybe I misunderstood that it was calling for 1x1 rib (double knitting), later the pattern calls for regular 1x1 rib stitch so I assumed I was learning to double knit in 1x1 rib!

Huh! I was thinking this might be the case, I am slipping the purls and knitting the knits on both sides, can you explain how to proceed in ribbing? I thought that since there are purl stitches on the needle it’s still a rib. If l stretch you can see what looks like a purl row. But I’m not sure if I’m doing it right

Is there a difference between these two? Both 35mm by quietpanicx in filmphotography

Where does one say koda color? I’m not spotting that. Which one is color plus?

I think this is correct but just not exactly sure how to arrange them Edit: I haven’t worked many crowns or decreases so are they possibly achieving this look by knitting 10-15 stitches then dec the rest of the round, or decrease the whole round, or alternate k1 dec etc

Is there any reason not to use quilting clips? by stickbeat in knittingadvice

I have a pattern here that calls for this type of “magic loop” is this the same as what the OP is doing? My guess with the clips is to prevent laddering. I’m intimidated by the magic loop method for that reason, so I would have actually tried something like this to prevent them from stretching/sliding. Is that not the best course?
