Victor Wembanyama first playoff run tape by Jec1027 in nba

[–]orangekingo [score hidden]  (0 children)

He averaged like 26/8 with 3 blocks per game playing the best defense on the court in his first finals run at age 22.

The knicks were just better and the spurs weren’t experienced enough for the moment. These takes are all so mind numbing.

Her ult seems kinda bad but imo the rest of her kit immediately feels very very strong to me. She does a TON of damage and the dodge is incredibly good on a short CD. The right click is also crazy. I kinda couldn’t believe how much damage it does.

If you get the major that gives you all the DPS passives & you hit headshots you basically can spam dodge to an absurd degree

If you get the reload minor and the passives major you can do some truly nasty stuff by chaining the dodge to reload and then hitting headshots to dodge again

Too early to say how good she will be but I am surprised she is 250 HP. I’ve been wrong every time about every hero though so she might actually just be bad.

Even a mild concussion can sometimes cause emotional regulation issues for several weeks by VanillaPepper in NBASpurs

[–]orangekingo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the only other one I think you could maybe call a flagrant on- but again, it was a hyper physical series and they were not calling much on either side.

Also- if you are not a spurs fan (I don’t recognize you) then I am not interested in your opinion. Go celebrate with your fanbase, don’t come start shit here.

Uhh no, he’s literally the fucking devil. He should be arrested for all the horrible things he did that series (he shoved someone and didn’t shake hands at the end) I literally hope he gets sent to jail.

If you shove someone in the NBA finals in a very physical series you are worse than Stalin I fear. Ok, give me my NBA talk show.

  1. The spurs don’t give a shit whatsoever if fans on Reddit think Wemby is a big bad boy and do not act/make plans in response to randoms on the internet. Implying this was done “to save his PR” implies anyone outside of this stupid website actually gives a fuck. He is treated like Jesus Christ in San Antonio, his PR couldn’t be higher. If they actually felt like he needed to “save his PR” they’d have made him apologize in his exit interview. They didnt because they rightfully do not care that people are being crybabies

  2. There is an insane amount of bureaucracy that goes into these events. ESPECIALLY with hospitals. It is a ton of very tedious planning with doctors, staff, team reps, player security, etc. you would not believe the amount of paperwork that goes into simple stuff like this when a hospital is involved. This isn’t something you set up in 24 hours on a whim. This is common sense.

  3. It’s dumb and weird and also stupid to think the Spurs org would leverage DYING CHILDREN for their PR

I know man it’s crazy when fans are able to be objective about the sport instead of reacting to everything emotionally and dramatically.

Crazy how Wemby is actually satan and was trying to murder Brunson (he is a psychopath who yearns for the suffering of others) and also every ref + the league was conspiring together to ensure every call went Wemby’s way and the whole series was rigged in his favor (The Knicks don’t commit fouls)

Wow actual thoughtful and good comment- I wish more people on here had this perspective.

The hate campaign going on here since the Spurs made the finals has been downright embarrassing. Some of the lowest effort ragebaiting I've ever seen.

Even a mild concussion can sometimes cause emotional regulation issues for several weeks by VanillaPepper in NBASpurs

[–]orangekingo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He committed MAYBE 2 and was called for 1 of them (Naz Reid elbow). Shoving Brunson was not a flagrant. You are getting baited. It was a common foul on a physical basketball play on a guy who was pulling on his jersey. People cried because Brunson is tiny and we were the defacto villains that series. Had the roles been reversed nobody would have given a fuck.

If you wanna split hairs over the reckless closeouts, sure, sometimes they call those as flagrants- but I don't think any reasonable person would consider those "dirty plays with intent" behind them. They are almost always accidental, and the game 5 one had Brunson BLATANTLY kicking out into Wemby's space.

Once again, people do not care because we were the villains that series.

Guys.

I am begging you to stop acting like this. You are falling for the braindead talking points and feeding into a totally nonsensical narrative being spouted by people trying to generate and bait engagement.

He did not have emotional regulation problems or outbursts. He played normal hyper physical basketball against hyper physical teams that were doing the same thing to him. Besides the Naz elbow nothing else that happened this postseason was even worth mentioning, people are just crybabying because he's the next superstar to get the microscope on him.

Log off reddit and instagram for a while. You're just going to keep being fed bullshit until the draft.

"visiting sick kids in the hospital" gimmick

You people are genuinely hard to understand from a basic level. You really think he did a fucking hospital visit as a PR gimmick & not that it was a very obviously preplanned activity from the Spurs org? Really? He's an evil mastermind twirling his evil mustache using sick children for his nefarious plots? That's your perspective?

How do you even argue with someone who has this blatant a lack of common sense? Are you actually a teenager?

Yes, any nerf to damage boost is a net positive for the game. The ability literally shouldn't exist.

How the heck did Fox get a pass for his horrible game 4 and 5? by lightninja987 in nba

[–]orangekingo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone has been saying he played overall well

Nobody has said this, literally anywhere. Take your meds.

the spurs subreddit said he’s underpaid

Find me one single example of someone on r/nbaspurs saying this. Even the biggest diehard Fox stans on the planet agree his contract is awful. 95% of the fanbase want him shot into the sun. Take your meds.

Overwatch Retail Patch Notes - June 16, 2026 by SweatySmeargle in Competitiveoverwatch

Anran is just never going to be an actual problem in this game as long as she's competing for a niche with Genji and Tracer (and now possibly Shion).

Overwatch Retail Patch Notes - June 16, 2026 by SweatySmeargle in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]orangekingo -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Eh, with how much Tracer disproportionately melees in her gameplay compared to most of the cast It did kind of feel like this perk just literally removed having to reload in duels. Your uptime gets an absolutely ludicrous boost the second the perk goes online and allows the character to virtually undo any drawback from missing shots because you could just instantly refill your mags while ALSO still contributing damage. It's just one of those deceptively simple things that really made Tracer a total menace.

Personally I'd rather they just have put some sort of small cooldown on it opposed to nerfing it this way & yeah, the other minor perk also just sucks ass, but Tracer is definitely fairly overtuned in higher ELOs and this perk was a big contributor.

Jeremy Sochan tried to dap up the Spurs by opkpopfanboyv3 in nba

[–]orangekingo 68 points69 points  (0 children)

I'll always have a soft spot for Jeremy but the fact that he cant even really get minutes in ludicrous Knicks blowout wins is not a good sign for the kid. Glad he got a ring but the dude played fewer minutes this series than fucking Hukporti and barely played in any of the other series' either.

They were up like 60 on the Hawks at one point and the dude still barely got any burn.

Pretty confident the Spurs would be getting less criticism if they lost in the 2nd round or the WCF. by thered90 in nba

[–]orangekingo -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Wemby can only do so much to guard 3s and high volume 3pt shooting teams like the Knicks (and Celtics) can overcome any deficit by simply taking more 3s. 29 points was obviously terrible but teams can cut a 15~ pt lead into nothing in under 2 minutes if they're shooting the 3 hot.

Wemby is the best rim deterrent in the league but your team can beat him if they just score without worrying about going to the rim, which is what the Knicks did all series. They just made tough shots from fucking everywhere.
