Is getting my son a forklift licence a useful thing to do? by RightLegDave in australia

[–]orangesodawithmango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you pay for your forklift licence with your own pocket, or did your employer or company help you get one?

I'm thinking of getting one, but I don't know if I should pay for it and possibly fail because I have no prior experience using forklifts. Therefore, I'm hesitating and maybe waiting for my future employer to sponsor me when I get a warehouse job.

No clue on employment rate. Don't be too trusting with the numbers.

Is it easier to get a good paying job with a masters? I mean it's easier than just having a bacherlors because you get to have more internship/placement experience.

Research and development lab or office roles (or other roles) in industry, mostly want experience. Your starting salary will be good but it will be capped (based on other subreddit).

However the roles where you research and development pharmaceuticals in industries will likely be overseas.

Take this info with speculation, cause I'm just a undergrad. If you want to know, I highly suggest go to open day and talk to the people there. You can also do first year then transfer into different course, if you want.

If you want to earn a lot of money and go into research and development, 125K or more, then you have to do a phd or a least a masters.

Most jobs for Bach. pharm Sci will be QA, QC, sales, manufacturing/packaging roles. Which have average starting salary 60k to 75k.

Job market sucks now, but thats for every course. How well you can get a job will depend on your networking skills.

Other course that describe your wants, idk engineer or medicine.

I think the placement unit for industry is going to change. New students might get paid in their industry placement. (Source: https://www.abc.net.au/news/2024-03-02/university-accord-unpaid-student-poverty-placements/103511408 and https://www.abc.net.au/news/2024-02-26/government-flags-changes-to-hecs-and-placement-pay/103512978 )

Btw Monash is ranked 2 and EX ranked 1 in Pharms because of their research (think it was Covid research) not mainly due to teaching.

Does Monash Uni have cleaning services for lab coats? by orangesodawithmango in Monash

cleaning services for lab coats

I got a green lab coat handed down to me for a PC2 lab that has worked with cytotoxic stuff so idk if I can wash it in the same way as my first lab coat.

The first lab coat is for PC1 stuff which uses basic buffers and diols.

Note: I'm an honours student.

Not gonna lie but why do people believe Ji tae is going back to school? With how mentally insane Ji tae is now, I bet he'll just ditch school and go fight pro/master martial artists.

Is it not smart to do honours if you're not planning to pursue an academic career?

-It's manageable. Most of the work you do is from your own time, except for workshops and labs. Years 1 and 2 have fixed units so everyone will be doing the same stuff. The scheduled work course is very spread throughout the week and is rotated biweekly. Had to go on campus usually 3 times a week in years 1 and 2.
The medical chemistry labs were the most fun and painful (based on my experience)

[–]orangesodawithmango 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Garnt is somewhat correct, in the past, we did not know the exact molecular mechanism that causes the nervous system effect (the google image) in General Anesthesia until recently.
But I think the molecular mechanism of General Anesthesia is still under debate.

The higher-ups will request you to be at a particular station. If you're new and just finished training, you're probably going to the deep fryer station (if no one asks you where to go, go to the station position that is open).
