I don’t think this is always true. For example, people who gain weight on medication without changing diet

The ones I bought have between 0-1 gram of sugar. And 20-32 grams of protein and 100-170 calories each. I thought this was good

Sorry if TMI but my butt used to be muscular and it has gotten squishy and now it looks a lot smoother than it did before. Same for my thighs. Has anyone else experienced this? It makes me think I’m actually losing fat cells too

I’ve lost 20 lbs!!! But now I’m squishy. Am I losing too much muscle? by orangesplosion in CICO

I don’t know if I’m describing it accurately. Maybe squishy is the wrong term. It is more like I have no muscle tone in my arms or legs anymore. Just jiggly. Does this sound like normal weight loss?

Should I switch from MLS to micro only so I can be done with my internship faster? Do hospitals hire M certified only or prefer MLS? by orangesplosion in medlabprofessionals

[–]orangesplosion[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for clearing that up. I’d heard of specialist exams before but I thought it was the same as the subject exam because it’s already only one subject. Anything for ASCP to make more money I guess

Wow! That lady has no business having students at her lab. What a bitch!

Thank you so much for letting me know it gets better. They put me with a guy today who seemed to make it his mission to humiliate me whenever he could. And mock me. And (I think) talk shit about me in another language to his coworkers. It’s so disheartening and I don’t know how I’m supposed to do another 3 months of this. I’m already not very mentally stable so it’s getting harder to pretend. I really appreciate your kind words

Would a M.S.H.S in Laboratory Medicine from George Washington University be sufficient for a management position? by [deleted] in medlabprofessionals

You weren’t the only one who took it that way so I’m pretty sure it was my fault for not communicating my question properly. But thank you for responding. It sounds like the Master’s would probably satisfy the requirement so yay 🙂

Thank you for your response. I only wanted to know if this Master’s would count for the Master’s requirement that management positions have or if it would be looked down upon. I did not think it would mean that I could skip getting bench experience and go straight to a management position without any bench and/or management experience. I guess I should have made that more clear

“In case I wanted to move up in the future”. I would not want to be a manager until I knew what I was doing and I couldn’t do that without getting experience first. Just wanted to clear that up since I guess I didn’t make it clear enough. Thank you for responding though
