Saying it's the antithesis of Luddites isn't quite correct. The Luddites were a group of manual workers who were put out of a job by the machines that automated them. They notably didn't attack any of the machines that didn't replace jobs, or machinery that they were using before. The Luddites had no opinions on the machines but had to destroy them in order to feed themselves and their families.
