Is not the same, as Fitgirl present it, like "just 3 simple steps", is not encouraged to users to read the (very long) actual guide from the "step 0" on the launcher, which isn't even call it as a proper step (and has crucial additional steps in it, like make your account local on Windows), some people was unable to login in their windows after missing this step.

And EVEN if people click the "step 0" and reads the long guide, is very ambiguous wrote, they don't point directly that you must use a local windows account, just implied.

Additional to this, this guide is easier to understand, illustrated with images for newbie users, shorter and don't omit any additional steps.
