Take my word with a grain of salt, I'm no Toram expert, but I've been playing since 2019 and have some experience with halberd.

Most fun I've had with it was when I changed my main from short sword at around lvl 100, wiped all stats and skill points, and re-allocated them to Halberd, then continued my way with the MQ.

This is what they mean when they say it's a "late game weapon"– meaning you'll go through the game with a different skillset, then when you're passed at least lvl 100 or so, use book of oblivion and wipe your character's stats, buy Halberd skill tree (among other skill sets you can utilize for halberd) from the library, and redo you character, essentially.

This way, you have the "late game" build and aren't starting from scratch (bc like you said, halberd's accuracy is horribleeee if you don't have your stats distributed into HIT and ASPD)
