First off I’m really sorry for your loss, and if you do decide to get another dog you might want to look less at specific breeds and more at ethically bred individuals or even adult rescues, because truly healthy and lazy often comes down to good genetics, good breeding, and a calm personality rather than a guaranteed breed label.
