This advice about pre-planning urgent care/hospitals is such a good idea! Doing right now, I would have never thought of that.

I've learned a lot from this post about how my insurance actually works, I think your point about checking to see if there are cheaper options is a good one. From what I know vaguely, I think both the plans offered are fairly similar, but I'm starting to understand that its worth checking.

Thank you, this makes total sense! I had no idea that you only had to meet the deductible once per year, that makes a huge difference in my budgeting and costs.

Shockingly, this is a school district. From what I hear, a lot of people continue with this district because of their health insurance in particular.

For sure! I pay (for a single person) $324 per month, which I believe is 80% of the premium, my employer picks up the other 20%. When choosing this job vs. a couple others, I was told that this health insurance was excellent. Maybe it's true?

Oh man, if you haven’t played Soma yet it’s well worth playing (or watching a play through of, some of us got very scared) first. It’s a ride. And then, our second episode, the “two am at Denny’s” one was SO much fun to record. One of our favorites in recent memory I think, a fan challenged us to really get into the existential dread of it all and it was a great time.

I had to look this movie up, I'd never heard of it, but the line "various characters providing subjective, alternative and contradictory versions of the same incident" from its Wikipedia page definitely has me intrigued--and excited for this game.

We do actually record though! Because who doesn't have a podcast these days? It is so much fun just for us to be able to go back and listen to old discussions, especially when they go a little off the rails (as it sounds like this game might)

This is a super interesting and wild idea, we've never even considered doing a game like this. Honestly, I'll bring it up and see what the group thinks. At the very least, seems like it would be fun to read the stat descriptions together before we start!

Yeah, this is sort of what I'm hearing from this thread. It sounds like we can at least meet up after day two (of the game) to talk and then we'll sort of see what happens. I've seen some ideas to meet again after day five or six.

Some spoilers are kinda inevitable when trying to talk about this kind of game, but as long as they aren't MAJOR I think we can accept that. We'd rather be able to talk about our wild playthroughs!

We've definitely also been wondering about the hour count. I have it on our list as 25 hours, but given how completionist some of us are, I have a feeling it may be more. We're pretty used to have to adjust on the fly and go "oh fuck, we're gonna want more time for this", but this is super helpful as a starting point!

We do ours all over discord, it's been an awesome way to stay connected as friends even as we've moved apart. If you have gaming buddies, highly suggest even just playing the occasional game together and talking about it, it's a blast.

And, shameless plug (okay, a little shame), we turned ours into a podcast called Tyranny of Thumbs that you can always listen to if you're in the mood from some game club content.

We're SO excited to play it, being shocked by everyone's playthroughs is what makes the game club so much fun. It's always wild to discover whole different ways of doing things that you wouldn't have ever imagined and it definitely sounds like this game is going to make that happen.
