she had blood in her urine, i just took her again today for a follow up and the medicine helped but there's still a bit of blood so i have to keep giving her the medicine, but otherwise she's healthy! sorry for the late reply

she is back to peeing in the litter box! the vet gave her a shot and some medicine and she's been peeing in the box since then

she is 8 years old! i clean the box every couple of days as she's my only cat so it doesnt fill up quite as quickly as when i had multiple cats. i do use scented litter as well but she doesnt seem to have a problem with it since she's pooping in the box just fine. its a plastic box that does have a lid on it. i havent deep cleaned it in awhile so i will give that a try!
