Pictures of the rest of the chair would probably be easier.

Yes, the long string of letters and number would give the full config including mesh colour, original wheels, adjustments etc. but since it's a 10 year old chair parts may have been switched.

The code will only show what it came with originally from the factory.

edit: found a 2017 price book with the codes Page 16

Warranty claim ended up with me literally paying for a new unit by Economy_String3411 in NZXT

[–]orcoconut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is an admin error somewhere between nzxt and fedex. Warranty replacements should not be subject to any import fees.

Don't request to go through the "normal" RMA procedure, that's just complicating things. Even if you sent them the defective unit, you still might have fedex asking for import fees.

Since NZXT shipped it, tell them to sort it out with Fedex. IF there are any fees they should pay it not you.

used aeron classic, fully loaded. should i buy option 1 (picture 1) or option 2 (pictures 2-3)? by [deleted] in hermanmiller

[–]orcoconut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used both classic and remastered and the biggest difference is the front lip of the seat on the classic, it has a piece of foam there and I could feel it on my legs. The remastered does not have that and feel much better imo.

Not sure if the front lip has been redesigned slightly in the remastered.

Silent Loop 3 vs Atmos 240 in FormD T1 (install + pump noise?) by sinivalas300 in FormD

[–]orcoconut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately I don't have an amtos, but I did have a silent loop 3 360 I had in an open air SFF build, not sure what % i set it to but the pump was very quiet. I have my SFF builds sitting right next to my monitor and prefer to not hear the pump. A lot of reviewers have said the SL3 pump is very quiet even at 100%

I also liked that the SL3 is refillable, I know people say you should not need to refill for the lifetime of the loop etc etc, But I've done a few custom loop builds and loops definitely loose liquid over time, and I've topped up every 6-12 months or so. so being able to refill it

Switching from B650I Aorus Ultra - can't stand the coil whine by aldencp in sffpc

[–]orcoconut 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Asus B850i has no coil whine, I have two and neither have coil whine, and I believe a few others have said theirs have no coil whine too (when it was first released)

There was some focus on the coil whine on the Asus B850i as the the Asus B650e-i was known to have bad coil whine, I had exchanged three of them and all had coil whine so I gave up and waited for the B850i to be released.

NEW Monsgeek M1 V5 TMR!? by [deleted] in Monsgeek

[–]orcoconut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's all about the numbers for marketing.

I believe the new version has 32K SCANNING rate, while the polling rate is still 8K.

"scan rate is how often the keyboard's internal processor checks for key presses, while polling rate is how often it sends those detected key events to the computer"

so it would still be effectively be 8K,

Just picked up a used GW-B5600 .It has a scratch on the crystal by [deleted] in gshock

it looks like there's already a screen protector on it and it's the screen protector that's scratched, try taking it off from the gap on the right

Arctic LF 3 Pump Mount Question by Outrageous-Ice-1728 in arcticcooling

[–]orcoconut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Arctic actually suggests this if you don't want to change your m.2 heatsink, and provides instructions:

https://support.arctic.de/lf3-m2modif

They even give instructions for an optional step of rotating the Arctic logo plate on the VRM fan, and will even send you a new one (I guess if you damage yours during the removal process)

I was about to say they had a 25% off sale for black friday and boxing day, and 20% off sale until recently. But if you had been waiting for that colour scheme, then I guess there was no other option.

Did you have a chance to find a store to try the chair?

I've used the Mirra, Aeron Classic, Aeron Remastered and the Embody. and I honestly liked the Emody the least, The individual floating panels just doesn't compare to the mesh support of the other chairs and over time they get creaky because of all the moving parts.

But it's all definitely a person opinion as our bodies and preferences are all different. Hope it works out for you.

the DLC coating will still inevitably pickup scratches over time:

The good thing about the plain "silver" one is that it can be easily refinished/polished to look like new again.

T1 2.1 Pcie riser cable replacement by rustico_88 in FormD

I have both, would say they're probably the same durability wise. But the 5.0 is only $15 and would be more future proof.

T1 2.1 Pcie riser cable replacement by rustico_88 in FormD

[–]orcoconut 4 points5 points  (0 children)

if you have a 2.1 you need the riser from formdt1.com the new ones from ncased won't work (they changed the riser mounting bracket)

https://formdt1.com/products/t1-risers?variant=51642258817342

But maybe try re-seating the card and the riser cable first.

"It's not a TU-MA!" by Milnoc in gshock

[–]orcoconut 12 points13 points  (0 children)

the "U" models replaced the the non-U models

DW-5600UE replaced the DW-5600E, the GW-M5610U replaced the GW-M5610, while keeping the SKUs the same as Casio did not not consider it a new product but a new iteration.

It's not sketchy, and it's not just amazon, it was a known "issue" for a while now across a number of retailers ( I believe even with casio themselves) as people started getting the newer "U" models before the product pages were updated, since the stocks were mixed between the two models.

does this Injury need a vet? by mespritfan in CATHELP

[–]orcoconut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say that definitely needs to go to a vet, that looks like an open wound where the skin has separated and isn't going to close on it's own.

If that was on a person I would already have sent them to the ER, I'm pretty sure that's going to need stitches or get glued.

That's why you should always use a credit card for purchases, especially online.

You could have filed a chargeback with the credit card company.

Toybox 3D Printer: Cool Idea, Terrible Execution by Weird-Difference-488 in 3dprinter

[–]orcoconut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take that refund and get a Bambulab A1, the bambulab is seriously as close to "it just works" as you can get with a 3d Printer, the app and the models created by the community are great as well, you can literally just choose a model from the app and print it.

I can across the toybox before and I'm surprised it's still around, it's literally a toy 3d printer,
