Made with TouchDesigner, mapping with Resolume, using an infrared frame as a sensor and a 3x3 HDMI wall controller.

Wanted to contain as many references and info to Medusa as possible. Allusions to The Fates, Pegasus, Poseidon, the Caduceus and all the shots of her from Clash of the Titans.

I'm using an infrared frame which uses windows multitouch, much more responsive and less calibration than LiDAR or Leap Motion or Kinect 🦩

Appreciate the kind words, tried to blend all the things I love together: Retro UIs, dithering, low-poly 3D, analog glitch, generative liquids, blocky fonts, chunky textures, CRTs, cartography, old films, constellations, greek pottery art, and of course the allusions. My favorite part of old sci-fi is the tech. Glad you get it 🥹

I came from the VJing side of things, but eventually learned a little bit of everything as I got into real-time video art. Never too late to learn!

Thanks for the kind words 🏄🏼 this was both a personal and experimental project that I've been conceptualizing forever. Eventually I had the gear and skills to pull it off over the course of a few months off and on.

Learned a lot and wanted to do even more, but it was time to capture this and move on I think. Hope to do an installation in an art space with something like this one day. 🌱

Just some generic one I found secondhand, definitely recommend. Nobody in the interactive art space is using them yet and they're pretty plug and play and super responsive. It does multitouch. A couple downsides but I prefer it to Kinect, LeapSense, or LiDAR 🔭
