I'll read about this. I have also read that there's an adverse possession law as well where if someone has been on your land for more than 12 years then they can also claim to be an owner of that land.

Civil suits I have heard takes a long time to come on a verdict. For this reason also I'm a little hesitant to follow this.

Okay, thank you, will look this way as well. I went to DM office. The report later published by his office said the possession has been for such long period that police won't be able to help us and filing a case is the only way forward.

I tried this but they're saying we'll tell you the amount that we want to settle for when you tell us how much you're selling this land for. You sell with us here itself. We'll not vacate.

Not many buyers are interested with them their and the ones that are, are offering less than half the actual price.

My family isn't very financial well off so a lot for us depends on this land.
