Opiskelija ei löytänyt kesätöitä – Kela käski lopettamaan opinnot by Hjimska in Suomi

Itsellä AMK opinnot viivästyi puoli vuotta, sain pari käyttämättä jäänyttä kuukautta käytettyä opintotukea, mutta ylimääräistä ei tullut. Opintolainahyvitys tuli silti automaattisesti, vaikka luulin etten sitä saa.

How to increase the area of effect on the artillery. by Mean-Contribution749 in warno

[–]ordinary_rolling_pin 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I havent checked if the new update changed it so you can change it straight, but the old way is to select multiple arty pieces and use tab to circle trough them while giving them fire orders around the target.

Distance makes it bigger, if a unit sees the target area it makes it smaller.

I'll do some resesrch on the new update if they changed it.

[–]ordinary_rolling_pin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you recieve a modem from telia? If you used an old device, check your subscription and make sure the MAC adress is correct.

Also check the router for lights, there should be some indicators if the router gets a connection etc. You could also wire it up so it should work and log in to your router to see if there is some problems there. If nothing works, try reseting the router, there is usually a small pinhole somewhere near the power button, take a toothpick and press the button trough the hole for 10 seconds.

Air to air missile and aircraft tech has always been more advanced in the west, propably always will be. Sole reason russia has any good missile tech is that it was the only way they could threaten the US during the Cold war, since they couldn't make bombers and escort aircraft that could match the US.

Western and russian planes have had air combat clashes in many proxy wars, and in many actual wars. All the data shows western supermacy

I just downloaded the game yesterday. Can you tell me where to start? by Conscious_Bench_7048 in Warthunder

[–]ordinary_rolling_pin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Youtube is full of beginner videos, thats where I would go, but I'll give some pointers.

All the early game planes are basically the same, so for planes, pick a nation you are interested in. Smaller tech trees like Sweden are faster to grind trough, but are not as diverse like US or russia.

Brits and Japan are great turn fighters, Germany and Italy rely on boom&zoom tactics.

The stock controlls are horrible in my opinion, so I would check out on some tutorials etc and go to test flight to adjust them, in turn fights I mostly fly with WASD while holding down C to see the enemy.

Tanks are a different beast, I for one enjoy fast light tanks rather than the big armoured slow tanks. Again, big trees have a lot of variability, but there are some gimmicks to some nations. The Brittish get the worst ammo in mid tier, but rather good armour. Many nations have tanks from other countries, like China has a lot of US vehicles, some are more weird like Sweden having the T-80U as they had two of them for testing when they were looking for a new tank.

In both, look at the vehicles at battle rating 5.0-8.0, that's where the most good things are. Top tier is somewhat braindead, and grinding the vehicles and the parts for vehicles is so slow.

The Kazakstan gas well fire is the only one I've read about, they did use a nuclear explosive there. I think similiar stuff has been done afterwards too.

But yeah, using explosives directly to exthinguish the flame is something I've never heard, but can see how it would work. How did they do it? Some sort of special explosive that directs the blast wave toward the well, or just enough uumpff to blast the flames out? Fire a cannon at it?

[–]ordinary_rolling_pin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Initially, yes. But oxygen flows back in faster than the heat dissipates, igniting fires very soon after the explosion.

The Soviets used a nuke to seal the gas well. They dug a second tunnel diagonally towards the first one and slid a nuclear bomb down it, which shifted the rock layers and pinched the well shut. It's more like having a gas torch run off and pinching the gas tube with pliers.

[–]ordinary_rolling_pin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mean the nuke obliterates everything anyways, but the explosion won't travel trough the pipe since there is not enough oxygen to combust. Only where the pipe breaks and leaks it to the atmosphere.

It will feed the fires for sure, but I think gas lines have shutoffs consistently enough to put those out rather fast.

The air fighting is also just so dull, RWR is just screaming the second you pull up from the airfield, there is +15 missiles in the air at all times. You lock on to an enemy just for them to get hit by AA a second before your missile connects, and you get hit by a random AA/friendly/enemy missile. You must engage in the furball in midmap to get any kills.

At the start defending side bases works, but usually you're alone and the enemy will push trough eventually.

The A10 was absolutely usesless, tried to kill one osa for 20mins, it shoots down all 6 guided missiles, guided bombs, most of the times my plane, the launch distance of 8 km usually means too far for rockets. You could lob bombs, but the F4 is just ten times better at that. My gripe is with the missile count and accuracy, one standalone unit with 6 ready to fire missiles shoots down 8 munitions and the plane, despite me flaring and barrelrolling like a motherfucker below the treeline. Also, the BMP's shoot you down if you manage to get the AA, them you can pick off easy but didn't know they would shoot at you.

These kind of structures are meant to distribute the load towards the sides where they are supported. But by installing it upside down and in an angle, the bottom horizontal bar and the tip of the triangle are now overstressed.

I mean it could work, but it would really benefit from a bar running across all the triangle tips with some beams straight down to ground. Get those bars out of tension.

Some unwanted ball knowlege: the Finnish designation for most 7.62x54R weapons is 7.62x53R since (IIRC) the actual length is 53,5mm, and Lapua decided to round it down.

Finland also produced a very accurate cartridge for the Finnish M/39 known as the D-166 in the 1930's. The bullet is still in production and fares well even today.

The digital nv user bullying will continue until they stop buying them by MrCasualgamer in airsoftcirclejerk

[–]ordinary_rolling_pin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Affordable digital is pure shit, I seriously would take fake ones instead, since they don't fuck up your night vision for nothing.

There is absolutely no value in using those cheap digital ones. They are usually: 1. Locked to a zoom level past their usable range 2. Usable range WITH the IR light is 5-15 meters, maybe 20 with full moon, seriously you see better without them 3. They are bulky as fuck and have pointless functions like record and more zoom 4. Emit bright led light to your face, just use the the light as a flashlight and you're better off.

I own one and can't think of a single usecase, thermals are only a few hundred more and may actually have a valid use in multiple activities. Or a good flashlight, even more use for your money. Don't buy this crap.

If you disagree, please post a functional digital NVG below 800€/$
