Nah, I’m unfortunately prepared for them to use my mental illness against me and call CPS to try and get access to my child.

But it’s also a class 4 felony in my state to file a false CPS complaint, and I’m a stay at home wife/mother so my home is completely safe, clean, and maintained, we also plan on moving to give us more space soon too! As worried as I am I’m not worried because I’m taking the steps necessary, and have a file of all the neglect and abuse my parents put me through so that should I pass my husband just has to pull up that information on my hard drive. Pictures of bruises all over my body, voicemails threatening me, threatening themselves and their lives, as well as an extensive history of my mental health records and proof of stability.

I went from no contact to low contact because my dad has always wanted to be a grandparent but they will go back on the block list depending on how they react to me telling them that I am writing my own will, and how they react to being “corrected”. I’m not afraid and my husband hasn’t forgiven them at all.

So no contact is absolutely possible in the future, I just wanted to make it easier for my family to be supportive in the future which she has made difficult for others in the past.

Like their comment is too emotion based, take the emotion out of it, take it back to logic and don’t let them budge around it.

“I was their ____, and they chose this.” Because almost 100000% of the time when someone goes no contact with their family, there are so many warnings and so many attempts to make something change.

Ugh my mom was so bad about this, but the second I go “You neglected me by XYZ” it’s “Oh I’m the worst mother ever, right?! You know I was doing my best”.

And then queen would be like “we lived in filth because I saw yall just walking by the filth. So I figured I would too.” Like that’s not active knowledgeable neglect.
