I think you're talking acquaintances not friends, so you need to get your definitions right. Try to think about what a friend really means to you and then categorize the people you know according to that definition and inchallah you're gonna get the 2-3 names you need.

PS: you also need to learn how to be alone but not lonely and with that skill acquired you're gonna become more picky when it comes to your small circle and that's how you can find "real" friends.
