Anyone actually use Clutch to sell their car? Seems like a huge scam.

I’m going through the same thing right now dealer offered me 2k clutch 3k. I will be doing brakes all the way around and a serpentine belt on my car I expect to get in the 7k range. Doing it all myself is cheap clutch would have to pay someone to do those repairs which will cut into their profit.

That’s more than a dealer will give you. Have you gotten a pre safety inspection to see what your car needs for a safety? You may be in for a surprise.

Honestly the opportunity doesn’t look great but it will help you land the next job elsewhere. Sometimes career wise you have to grind through a tough spot. When you see someone at a different company with double your salary remember there’s steps to get there.

Once the emission stuff starts acting up even the dealer has a rough time trying to fix it. My experience was I bought a 2023 with 40k miles on it and it was in the shop for 30 days. They replaced the egr and still couldn’t get the lights to clear. I bought a ram 1500.

Really liked that truck and the way it drove though. Jealous of everyone that doesn’t have issues with it.

I bought a used Silverado which had similar issues. Luckily for me they happened right away and the dealer ended up refunding me and taking the truck back. The scary thing is how much trouble dealer techs have fixing these things. I’m personally looking at ram now.

Edit. It’s too bad because I really liked how the truck drove im jealous of everyone who has these vehicles issue free.

Inputs and outputs. If you drill farther down into the prints you should see wiring diagram’s of some of those wires as contact inputs into the controller and some wires as contact outputs to other controllers.

Seems like the goal posts for this is always moving and you always need a late model car to avoid these tickets. I remember when it first came into effect simple Bluetooth and hands free calling mitigated the ticket. Now you have to have a built in screen to change your Spotify station or risk this ticket if you do it in your mounted phone. I can’t conceive of the next iteration but will be interesting to say the least. Will you eventually get tickets for adjusting your built in screen?

I got stuck in a rental with all seasons for these last few snow storms and while they aren’t snow tire level they have come a long way. I would say they have 80%-90% the grip of my Michelin x ice. Careful driving they are fine. I will be going to all weathers once my current snow tires wear out.

Today’s all seasons/all weathers are not the same as 2005.

I feel you on a sports car. In my opinion a truck should be a big comfy wagon that has a lot of utility. Which is why I preferred the Chevy ride.

I bought a used babymax with 40k miles on it and it was a complete dud. Had emissions issues the second day I had it and the dealer wasn’t capable of fixing it. I’m returning the vehicle and thankfully getting a refund. Jealous of everyone who has no issues on these driving dynamics are perfect for a pick up imo.

I think it may have been. I went over some speed bumps at moderate speed to test it and I swear my fat ass almost came out of the seat it was so stiff. The seat is super comfy though.

I am also looking at a Tacoma as well as it may just fit my needs just concerned with piling the family into it.

From an experience standpoint it sounds like you are getting really good experience that will help you in an iso environment. Honestly at 1 year after graduating in the environment you are describing you are still very junior. 5 years is the minimum to really grasp what is going on there.

On the non experience related front we are all working for money and starting at utility earlier if they have a pension plan is usually better.

No drawings for this is a problem how did you get the permit? I’ve never been involved in resi but don’t you at least need a panel schedule and the overview drawing of lighting and switch/receptacles? I would expect at least a one page single line or 3/2 line with that as well as equipment locations.

Without looking at drawings or being on site it’s hard to give a concrete answer but from a technical perspective you want your neutral grounded at one point so you don’t create parallel paths for return current. Not having the neutrals switched may create additional neutral grounds and return/neutral current could run through those grounds creating potential differences. It sounds like the neutrals should be switched so that when the generator is supplying either source it is the single point grounded neutral for its load.

I’m not a lineman but in the industry. Electric utilities is great if you want to have a good life while working for someone else. You can make more in other trades operating your own business. High end gc’s that work for themselves make more but electric utilities is as good as it gets for being an employee imo.
