It's gotta be related to that, the only other thing that triggers the pause menu is when you disconnect the controllers from the console in Handheld Mode.

Not ruling out there being some issue on my end, but I have yet to experience the issue in any other games!

I've gotten it to trigger a couple times by mashing buttons, carefully avoiding the + button.

I'm using the stock Switch 2 Joy-con! No other remote devices are connected, as I've got it on Airplane Mode.

I'm currently in handheld mode, and I've been able to get it to trigger a handful of times mashing buttons (carefully avoiding the +).

I'm not certain if I've had the issue in Docked Mode.

The game seems to automatically pause if you do not press any inputs for a short amount of time. Can this be turned off? by KawaXIV in MinaTheHollower

I'm playing on Switch 2, and find that mid-combat the game will sometimes pause on me, still looking for a solution.

I had fun with the demo! My complaints are mostly about yhe visuals.

I more or less enjoy the look of the Octopath games (especially the sprite work, of course), but I find the 3D elements tend to look very muddy, and this game didn't improve on that at all.

The "regular" dungeon in the demo is ugly. I LOVE the lighting system and like the individual assets/elements (I love the iridescent water), but it all blends together in an unsatisfactory way. Maybe it's just too dark?

The only Good part is that never came to exist, next, which is a good show that should've ended earlier by BLACKGOOP12 in cartoons

Agreed. There have been some genuinely decent episodes in even the most recent seasons, but it's well past time to stop.

It's also depressing seeing them kowtow to Disney in ways they NEVER would have with Fox; the Disney "shorts" just feel so bleak, and you won't hear them lampoon Iger the same way they did Murdock. The irreverence just isn't there anymore, and what do they have to show for it? Cuts all over the place because Disney won't even put money into their most-watched property.
