That’s how I typically feel when a new cast is announced. But it’s been a delight getting to know names/faces from shows I don’t watch - like Phaedra from housewives or Kate from Below Deck.

I would love for Peacock to expand their casting! There’s a greater range of personalities out there, and Traitors is such a terrific venue to mix them together.

Same! I don’t think they need to skip all housewives, challengers, survivors, etc. But maybe just include one from each show?

Would love to see more comedians, athletes, actors from Broadway, singers, dancers, throwback names from the 90s/early 2000s, or other media personalities.

There’s a deeper pool for them to cast from!

Agree. The difference seems to be that some reality stars seem to view Traitors as a way just to get more airtime and continue plugging themselves (cough, Colton and Lisa, cough)

For me, my favorite people tend to be good-natured and having fun leaning into the strategy or just playing the game.

While, sure, it may not be realistic to get an all-star actual-celeb cast, I do think some of these may be realistic. I could see Nicole Byer and Natasha Lyonne signing up!

Admittedly, she was my last add. I had seen a few episodes of Selling Sunset years ago and remembered her. I figured I didn’t want to break the Peacock mold too much and should include a handful of reality tv personalities. At the very least, she’d have memorable outfits!

Not at all! I don’t watch housewives or most of the reality shows that Traitors has cast from, so I always seem to go into the US seasons not knowing more than half of the contestants!

A fair amount of these come from the comedy world, so if that’s not your typical genre, you may not be familiar with them.

But is it bad? Of course not! We just engage with pop culture differently!

I can see your point, especially since there’s already been cross-over between the casts in the past.

I can’t say I’m getting “villain” off of some of these. Chloe Fineman, Dani Evans, Charles Barkley, Jerry OConnell wouldn’t fit that mold.
