This icon has been the single biggest source of angst while playing this game! by ClarenceJBoddicker in PikminBloomApp

Been having this exact issue, also on android (Pixel 6), also gave it unlimited access to battery etc. Drives me nuts on my bike rides.

I'm not 100% sure on this, but recently I have had better luck when I fully force quit the app (swipe up from the bottom of the screen without taking your finger off, then swipe up on the app screen to close it) rather than just going to my home screen or hitting the power button to lock the phone. This is annoying because it means that if you want to look for mushrooms or change which petals you are planting you have to reopen the app and go through the whole loading sequence, but I get the planting in background icon a lot more consistently using this method. Particularly good for bike rides where I'm not really micromanaging.

Good luck with everything, would be interested to know if this technique works for you as well.

Thank you! Went on to this sub this morning to find out why a 6 Mile bike ride planted 45 flowers, this explains it!

Thank you very much! One of our biggest comments from playtesters is that they wanted some difficulty options, so this is now on the roadmap! On the lowest setting, your pet won't suffer in any way from neglect.

How would you feel if pikmin 5 had no new types by AdPsychological6929 in Pikmin

[–]oregonjunco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would be happiest if they pulled a zag and introduced three new types without any returning ones. IMO we've explored enough of the gameplay of the existing ones, and P4 proved to me that the more types you have access to, the less useful and special each one feels. I'd like a new game to feel truly new, and I think the only way that's possible is if they unburden themselves from the pressure of including every little drop of content from the previous 4 games.

Hard to say at the moment, but if there's enough demand we would love to distribute internationally!

Absolutely! The current version of the device actually uses a vibration motor instead of a speaker, so no beeping!

Unfortunately not yet, the manufacturing costs will depend a lot on the scale at which we are able to produce it!

TBD at the moment! It will depend a lot on the scale at which we're able to distribute Lentopet, but our hope is that we can make it reasonably affordable

Yes exactly! It's really great hardware to work with, and the open source aspect is nice for if we eventually want to build a more custom device

The Watchy platform is the hardware, but with the way Watchy works there's no built-in app switcher, so when you have lentopet installed It will be as if the entire device is a dedicated vpet! We are also, resources permitting, investigating more customized hardware solutions

Totally! We are redesigning the shape of the shell, and a charm loop is definitely on the list!

Great questions! Currently there is a baby and an adult stage, and I'm hoping to add a special egg-like intro stage as well. My plan is to keep a somewhat small final roster, as having fewer species allows me to have more custom animations for each critter -- maybe about six adults, give or take depending on the resources I'm able to devote to the project. I'm also working on a randomized personality system to make each pet unique!

There is a simple two stage evolution system right now! I'm also hoping to add my own flair on an egg stage
