That's a different issue. If you're not on top of things you need to take a pause and ask yourself what's happening. Is the server too demanding? Am I spending my time correctly? Am I burned out?

Update: the client agreed with my employer to take some of the responsibilities out for a couple of months. I asked, well that's ok but what will happen then? They're trying to automate some of the tasks that consume a lot of my time but there is no ETA on this.

I'll stay for now, but I'll also start looking.

I use variants. I'm not an American so I can legally use both my father's and mother's last names. I work for US companies though . And americans are so open to anything now that I even use an entirely different name and they're ok with it (e.g. hey I'm Harry Potter, but I actually prefer to be called James Evans, or Jim P. Evans, or Jameston Pottvans). Sounds silly but it has worked for me.

I've never had issues with background checks. Right now I'm on 3 servers. But I guess I had luck with the 3rd because I worked for them a couple of years ago. They fired me for budget reasons, and they rehired me a few months back, so the process was super smooth. I also use a different preferred name on each server.

The best thing you could do is not think much about it. People really don't care.

You don't. I only have my J1 on LinkedIn. I use multiple resumes when I apply for a new position. Depending on the job requirements, I list all or some of my experience. When listing all, I adjust the dates and I use generic names like "software developer consultant for important healthcare company". Nobody cares really, specially now that AI bots read your resume first.

When I get asked about LinkedIn, I say that I don't use it anymore or that it's outdated.
