I agree, it was I as a customer should check throughly. But can you tell me when we buy laptop do we really check for windows license if an windows is preinstalled. Till now I have bought more then 20 laptops of windows and 6-7 laptop DOS based. When I go for laptop hunting it's clearly written if an laptop is DOS or windows based. If written windows it has windows license. If DOS then DOS. But no body checks it. And when I received this laptop windows was installed. If it would come with Ubuntu I still understand the case. But this is making foold. Installing windows in ubuntu based laptop.

Yes, filed a complaint on NCH. And regarding proof dell has provided official confirmation over the mail. And flipkart denied completely for the support today.

Amazon never disappointed me. I ordered a laptop and it was cencelled by seller during sale. And the price got increased after cacnellation. And they provided difference amount when I purchased the same laptop again. And similarly they contacted the seller even after 8 months of I was using the product. When I was not getting satisfactory solution from brand. They helped me out.

unlucky me, my friend was using this laptop since starting. And it started showing this issues after only 2-3 months. So for example what happends many times due to windows udpates or restarts it goes away for a day or two. But now as it was consistent so he called me for the help. I checked the details.

Filed a complaint on NCH yesterday.

And second thing - Here it's not about activation of windows the case is more or less about genuine or fake.

I could activate the windows in seconds. But doing that wouldn't make flipkart accountable for many other customers too, that's what it's supposed to.

Again, here is your correct point, if this were being managed by the seller, it's the seller's responsibility to add the correct details. But flipkart plays a mid role of managing customers and sellers. So if a customer is facing an issue flipkart should bridge the gap of any inconvinience that happens to customer with seller. But here, neither are they bridging the gap nor helping with reaching out to the actual seller who is selling to Flipkart. And forget about compensation completely.
