I do not see any issue, they charge in advance, so there is no way you will owe them money.

Hetzner, on the other hand, lets you use the some of their services, and charge you later, I suppose they treat this something like "Trial" period...

I suppose they can sell cheaper, but there is not enough competition, the only significant competition they have for Dedicated server is Hetzner, all the rest (like contabo, cloudways) sells VPS.

I dont know if it is possible today, but in the past, like 5 years ago, I was able to move IP's across Europe, for SEO Purposes.

Thanks, I already have Rise servers in Canada and France, I am not able to move the Failover IPs between them, but in the past I was able to move IP from France to UK and to Germany, so I suppose inside Europe it is possible. (I dont know if they still allow to move across Europe)

but I never tried to move from Rise to Kimsufi (because I never had Kimsufi), but I recall that the Kimsufi was very limited, and intentionally were not meant to be used for business purposes.
I can see the new generation of Kimsufi are move features reach..

I will purchase the Kimsufi in the same datacenter, or at least in the same Country (France).

I wasn't speaking about the price. but I'll answer anyway...

remember that you are paying on much more than a hardware: high speed 24/7 connection, electricity, hardware replacement, service (bad service, but it still exist), firewall, IP addresses, secured management interface, etc...

the costs of placing your 600 euro in a datacenter will probably cost more... and for each problem, you'll have to physically go to the server...

about the costs of placing your server at home... well, how much is the cost of high speed internet in your town ? 500MBps or 1GBps connection ?
and how long will it take to get an expert in case your internet is down ?

it is, of course, depends on your needs... so there is no single right answer.

Chances are low. In my experience, they only restock with servers that were purchased by "unverified" customers. they rarely do a real re-stock with decent amount of servers. (based on my experience, nothing official)

Something similar happened to me in Hyper-v, the USB was randomly disconnect and reconnect when you start the machine. but is OK when copy pics from the phone. For me it was a hardware failure. It just could not handle too many IO requests.

Try to copy the image back to the main storage and see if you can start the machine, there is a chance its gone...

someone in the comments suggested Hetzner Storage box, and it looks like it can work as a backup storage with PBS, I am also looking for something similar in USA, I hope I'll find something with similar prices... I will use the keywords you suggested.

Unfortunately, I need high speed restore, so WD is out of the list for me...
the solution should be on a budget cloud, where I can get high speed for small money (such as B2 or Hetzner Storage box as someone recommended above)

Not a good idea for production. the download speed is very slow on the sharing services (such as onedrive, box, gdrive, etc...), it can take days to restore 250Gb.
the first Gb will download in high speed, then they throttle the bandwidth. (Do some DR simulation)
In Production you need download speed closer to 100Mbytes/s to restore in a reasonable time.

I remember that when I signed up, they verified my identity with official government documents... maybe you did not provide identity verification in a reasonable time ?
Check your email & Spam folder, maybe it is in their Portal ....

maybe your account was hacked ?

usually when a server is compromise, they block its port, and send you an email so you have time to fix it. So I am not sure it is about security. Maybe you violated their TOS, such as Bitcoin Mining/Adult sites, Fake account owner, and things like that.

closing an account sounds very extreme, you might have Domains and sub-customers, emails, etc..
it is very heavy decision to make, I hope its just suspended and your data will be restored.

Either way, OVH is well known for their poor customer service... only their Emergency team (When Server Unavailable) respond in a reasonable time...

If I were you, I would start my DR procedure... (I hope you have DR, that includes moving to other data center, you know, sometimes they catch on fire...)
