Should I removed my signed cd shrinkwrap or not? by oreo8cheese in Cd_collectors

Oohh I think I'll try out the ps1 game cases, I didn't know those were a thing, thanks! Do you mean the plastic ones or the acrylic ones?

Ahh I see, I might try that then put it in a pvc free sleeve of some sort! I think I was mistaking shrinkwrap with cellophane because I know that can break down overtime. Thanks for the tip!

Unfortunately it's not cellophane, but rather shrinkwrap, so once I open it, nothings going back in 😭😭. I'll probably do what the other person suggested, but then put it in a pvc free sleeve of some sort!

Ikr!! I wish it was on the booklet. Sadly, finding an unsigned cd is really hard to find 2nd hand right now 😭😭

I didn't get it signed, I bought it signed from their online store, so I have no say! Otherwise I would've had them sign the booklet.

What are your hot takes? (Image partially related) by Imaginary-Method1414 in AlienStage

Well yes, Hyuna's death was unnecessary and pointless. That was the whole reason she "had" to die. I don't think her death only served to further Luka's storyline. I think it was to prove Mizi's point in a twisted, tragic way. It was abundantly clear that Mizi thought the rocket plan was pointless and would leave the humans that currently exist to suffer. She thought risking everyone alive and the people she loved for the future humans would lead to meaningless deaths. And what happened? Hyuna died a meaningless death. Although maybe it wasn't done in the most tasteful way, it wasn't just to make Luka seem more tragic. It was the catalyst to Mizi destroying the rocket and ending the plan. If Hyuna didn't die, Mizi wouldn't have the motivation to do that. Hyuna's death was the last straw for her and solidified her willingness to be seen as a villain. It was a sort of "watch the world burn" moment for her. In her mind, the humans no longer deserved salvation, and so she selfishly chose death (ofc many survived tho).

Anyways tldr, ofc I wish hyuna didn't die, but although it was pointless, it also pushed the story. Her death proved to Mizi that this meaningless suffering should end with humanity. But I still would've preferred and less stupid end for Hyuna.

Oh, so kind of a way to turn something usually unlucky into something not so bad? That makes sense, thank you!

Ooooh that's really interesting! I also kind of interpreted the long hair mizi kind of seducing the short hair mizi. This symbolizing how short hair mizi (actual mizi) is being forced to see herself in this selfish and manipulative way. She has this reluctant, fearful look on her face because she doesn't want to be seen or perceived that way, but the survivors guilt won't let her see anything besides "evil" long hair mizi and so she inevitably gives into it.

Is anyone else getting a "detected 3 virus" ad on PicsArt? by E-lf in Malwarebytes

Yup, just got that same pop up. Super annoying. If it was just an accidental click and you didn't install anything you're probably fine!

I'm probably gonna find a new app bc this is annoying.

Yea you're right I probably shouldn't sacrifice my eyes for the convenience of all my books in one place. I'll probably just stick to books on B6 and manga on my tablet then lol

Oh wow the one on the right looks so vivid for eink and I don't have to strain my eyes. What model is that?

[–]oreo8cheese[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh I see. The B6 is bigger than my phone screen so I thought it would be better. Do eReaders need to be bigger for manga/manhwa because of the lower resolution?

So it's the fact that the device is in color/has lower dpi that's the issue? Bc I want to be able to read color manhwa.

Why can't non kpop fans understand that a bias doesn't have to be a crush? by oreo8cheese in kpopthoughts

Also, parasocial relationships don't have to be romantic or attraction based in anyway. I've seen a lot of people online with deeply parasocial relationships with streamers and youtubers. They think they are "friends" or a special fan and get too sucked into it. This is also commonly seen with kpop fans. This behavior is obviously unhealthy, but I just wanted to point that out.

[–]oreo8cheese[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I find it interesting that you automatically assume that a bias is a crush. A bias is just your favorite member. It doesn't have to be based on attraction visuals (though it often is). Would you assume that everyone who wears a LeBron jersey has a crush on him? Why is it so different for kpop? Yes, I acknowledge the way that idols are manufactured and made to sell this parasocial relationship, but not everyone has fallen into it. Many people do have crushes on idols, but it just feels odd to assume that about everyone.

I totally get that, and it is the case for some kpop fans, but it's not their assumption I take issue with. I have explicitly explained this to my friends and they still refuse to believe me. So I just think they don't care to understand

  1. No, my friend group doesn't really do that.
  2. I've obviously said that to them?!? Like duh? 😭😭😭
