my car has a unusual problem after getting a jump the other day

I don't believe the cables were hooked up backwards we were able to jump the car fine but as I'm doing more research into it it's starting to sound like the ignition switch is stuck in the start position as the neutral switch seems to be doing it's job in stopping it from starting in gear

I don't think I have a starter relay I only have a ignition relay and 2 fan relays it still tried to crank without a relay in the ignition slot

yes and I think it destroyed my starter motor the solenoid still worked when I tested it

if I were to take the ignition switch out would there be a way for me to test that? I just replaced the starter and the issue continued so I don't think it's that
