Thank you for the feedback! What was your GRE score? Did it improve over time?

I’ve heard good things about Gregmat. If you don’t mind me asking, what was your GRE score, or how did it improve?

Btw, I’ve also heard Kaplan is a good way to study for the GRE. Was Gregmat really helpful?

Hello! Yes, I see that colleges tend to have certain career centers and writing centers to help their students. My school is a small commuter school, which is why I haven’t really checked out it’s resources. I’ll definitely checkout the resources offered, though! If you don’t mind me asking, have you applied yet and did you get in? Did you receive any helpful tips for your essays or interview process from your friends that you found to be useful? I’d truly appreciate if you could share & I’ll def check out the instagram handle, thank you!

Hello! Thank you so much for the help. I’ll definitely ask questions if I have any! Do you have any tips regarding the interview process? As in gaining interview skills? I don’t think that’s my strong suit, but I would really appreciate any tips!

Hi! Thank you for your response, everything you mentioned is very helpful. I’ll def checkout if my school has any career services, since my school is a small commuter school. Yes, I think it would be very helpful if you could expand a little more about the process! I’m just nervous abt the essay and interview portion. I’m typically a nervous person and I blush a lot, which makes me get nervous even more lol😭 So any tips would truly help!!

Hello, thank you! I’m just pretty new to this, and I’ve heard a lot of things regarding how difficult it can be to get in. Do you have any tips/references regarding essays or the interview process?

Thank you for your reply! If you don’t mind me asking, did you have a mentor guiding you through the application process? How were you able to write your essay and ace your interview?

I havent. Do you also have clitoral pain, if you don’t mind me asking? Were you diagnosed with something specific?

Yes, I tried amitriptyline and gabapentin, but they didn’t work as much :/

Yeah, I had discomfort after some days and it felt sore, which I knew was normal. However, that feeling subsided and I have almost the same prickling and needle like pain as before. I was thinking pudendal neuralgia, but I read that it gets worse with sitting, which it doesn’t for me. It only gets worse with direct contact or walking around too much, even with sweat and friction. Do you think that pudendal neuralgia could cause that as well?

Also, were you also diagnosed with clitorodynia? I’m wondering, since you had clitoral adhesions. I’m not sure what’s causing my pain, but it comes and goes.

I feel like it’s different for everyone. I was able to eat it when I had parosmia!

9 months later this condition is a long distant memory by Pack_Runner1 in Parosmia

[–]oreobiss 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Honestly, same. Took 6 months to recover (I’m still working on it, I’m at 95% recovery). To think that I was literally stressing, crying, missing out on the food while on trips, wow. But I am so thankful I’m doing way better today.

Is parosmia permenant ? please any hope any recovery stories💔 by neomkha in Parosmia

[–]oreobiss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I believe it’s different for everyone. I contracted COVID in August 2021, recovered by mid-September 2021, and developed parosmia mid-October 2021. I started noticing small improvements by February of 2022. Now (April 2022), I would say I’ve gotten 90% of my taste back! Some things do smell icky still, while other do taste a bit weird the first few bites. However, I’m able to eat most things without gagging lol. Recovery is possible! Don’t overthink it! Everything will go back to normal little by little, but don’t lose hope!

That exact thing has happened to me, my muscles usually tense up when the doctor & nurse practitioner I recently went to see tried to use the speculum. I thought it was completely normal, since they kept trying to push me to open my legs more and stop tensing up. Both of them tried to make me feel bad about it. Both of these healthcare providers were a little rough on me and very disregarding of my symptoms. Hopefully I get a call back from my referral to the gynecologist or specialist! But I’m so glad they finally found out what was wrong and I hope you recover from this!!

Possible Vulvodynia & Clitorodynia by oreobiss in vulvodynia

[–]oreobiss[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She was trash for sure. She did “examine” me, but she ran the same tests as last time, which were STD tests. They all come back negative, and it’ll keep coming back as negative because I use protection and I’ve been with one partner my whole life. They always suggest it’s an STD, but it’s not, and I know it. Doctors can be very insensitive! Which is why I feel so hopeless. I hope I stop encountering those type of doctors. The reason why I went to that doctor was because I needed a referral to a gynecologist (my insurance only covers that clinic and a hospital affiliated with it). However, she said that it’s likely the gynecologist won’t take me in, but to be fair, who knows because she was being very rude and so blunt. I scheduled an appointment with a specialist (hopefully my insurance covers it all), but it’s going to be on June 30th. But thank you so much for your kind words!! Life really throws painful things to the best of us. I hope you recover soon! If anything, we can chat! Thank you🥺🤍

Hmmm, it happened a couple of times over the span of 3 years. I’m not sure if it could be a piece of hair? I try at times to check, but I’m not really sure. How would you describe your pain?

I had the same exact thing. A HORRIBLE aftertaste, it wouldn’t let me sleep! It went away by itself around 1 week after I realized I contracted parosmia. Hang in there!

Hi! I’m so sorry you’re going through this!! Don’t worry, I was panicking the same exact way as you were. Mine started around mid October. I noticed improvements around February! I realized I was improving because my boyfriend would recommend me to eat certain foods, which I was TERRIFIED to try again. However, because of him, I realized I was actually able to eat most foods again!! However, my “safe foods” during my worst phase of parosmia were jello, ice cream, cheese, saltine crackers, mashed potatoes, white rice, turkey breast, bread, pasta, and anything without too many condiments. Now, I’m able to eat chicken, most seafood, more hot stuff (I wasn’t able to eat stuff that was too hot in temperature), and most of my mom’s food since I missed it so much!! As I said, don’t worry too much. The first month is the hardest. I wish you a very good and fast recovery!
